When did you buy your first pram?

Hi, when do you think is the best time to buy a pram? I’ve been told not to keep it in the house (we’ll keep it at my in laws) but I’m dying to buy one! We’re going out tomorrow to get some ideas but there’s a chance I’ll get too excited 😆 is 16 weeks too early? We’re going for a travel system so that will tick a few boxes!

Hello! We went for a look a few weeks ago.. 2.5hrs later in shop we bought one! 🤣👶🏼💖 they hold it though until 2 weeks before, usually until baby is here & dad goes to collect but will be early due to closing over Christmas & new year! Don’t think it’s too early! 🥰 Xxx

We went just for a look in the shop today and they just happened to have a sale on that was ending today so ended up buying travel system and nursery furniture! Was too good a deal not to. They keep everything in their warehouse until your ready for it too which is a bonus x

My mum wants to buy us ours, she's coming over when I'm 25 weeks if all goes to plan! She lives in a different country and I haven't ever heard of a myth not to keep the pram inside?

I will buy in November probably now is too early...

I got my car seat and bouncers at 14 weeks think I’ll get pram around 17/18 weeks or maybe even later but if u have space just now it’s good to get stuff in early xx

I’m 17 weeks and we’ve just bought ours but where we bought ours, they keep it in the warehouse free of charge until you’re ready to collect!

I’m 18 weeks, we reserved ours the weekend before last because lots of stock isn’t coming in till September/ October so had to pre-order! They’ve said we can pick it up 1 month before due date 😊
I’m glad we went when we did as could have been without a pram if we’d left it too much longer

Avatar

I’m 18weeks & put a deposit on ours 4weeks ago, we asked for a November delivery ☺️xx

I’m 18 weeks and we bought ours 2 weeks ago from mamas and papas and you get to choose a date for it to be delivered and they’ll keep it until the. You can also log on to the website and change the date if you need too. We can also make instalments whenever we like.

What kind of prams did everyone go for? I've just bought a second hand egg and I'm 17 weeks starting to think it may be a bit early but it was really nice for the price! It did need a bit of cleaning though!

Baby moisturiser (UK)

What are we using for baby moisturisers please ladies?
I started with aveeno because he has sensitive skin and had a lot of rashes when he was born, just can’t afford to spend £9 a bottle when we use it every day!😮‍💨
We’ve tried Aldi moisturiser and Johnson’s moisturiser, they are ok, just wondering what you guys use and would recommend? 🫶🏻

Hey everyone *im New here* 👋🏼

This is probably normal, My baby is six weeks today - in the daytime after a feed, change and tummy time he will go to sleep with no fussing etc in his DockAtot ( supervised ) i have now been taking him into his next to me instead for a nap as newborns sleep all the time.

But in his next to me hes very fussy and moves about a lot .. this is also the same in the night time, any suggestions?

Thank you ❤️x

Is nursery a bit out of line?

Today I learned that my son was “seen by someone” when picking him up. Apparently speech therapist saw him in the nursery to evaluate him and I only learned about it on pick up.

No warning, no even proper explanation of what triggered it. With one staff member saying “he is not speaking at all”, and another dismissing it and saying it’s completely normal.

And everyone seem to dismiss my shock as he is the most chatty happiest child at home.

So it triggers me that instead of finding a way to get him “open up” and make him feel secure so he starts speaking naturally. They now decided he needs to be “fixed” and probably push him into more anxiety with it. Without even consulting us.
