Angelcare vs tommee tippee bin

Hi mamas

I currently have the Tommee tippee nappy bin but find the cartridges so expensive, That I bought some dupe ones of Amazon. They work out a lot cheaper but it's a real faff to refill the bin every time. I also feel like the Tommee tippee just looks quite bulky and ugly in my baby's nursery.

Just wondered if anyone uses the angel care nappy bin system instead, if so what are your faults pleasw, does it contain smell and how does it work out financially with the refills?

Thank you

Sorry i cant help with answering your question as we have the tommee tippee ones too. Would you mind sharing the dupe ones you got? And if they work? Thank you

I’ve always just used nappy sacks and a regular paper bin if changed up stairs and they go straight outside if changed downstairs. Paper bin is emptied twice a day…so much cheaper x

We have the angel care one. No smells come through. I’m happy about it. Bought 12 refills on Amazon for £52 I believe.

thank you that's helpful, are the refills easy to change?

sure its these

100m. ECO Nappy Bin Refills compatible with Tommee Tippee TEC, Twist & Click, Simplee | compatible with Angel | Light Flower fragrance | Anti-Odour+ https://amzn.eu/d/7KPlCKr

Definetley work but i find it such a faff every time the bin needs refilling as its not just the cartridges you snap in you have to cut the plastic then feed into an old cartridge

Yes, super easy. You just gotta do a knot at the bottom. I’m sure there are online videos if not happy to send you one x

thanks ever so much. Im gonna use up the last of my refills for tommee tippee then get one I think x

@Incognito they do look like a lot of faff... we get the cartriges when they are on offer or sometimes off facebook marketplace when mums get rid of them as they finished with the nappies. Althought the nappy bags idea sounds economical and could use the existing bin we have already 😀

I’m using Tommee tippee and ran out of the refills the other day so I removed the bag from the last refill (as it was full) and replaced it with a normal bin bag. So I basically fed the open part of the bin bag into the refill, then the bottom part of the bin bag just goes in to the nappy bin as usual. And then I’ve been putting a nappy in and twisting to close the bag, then rotating it back (to untwist the bag) when I need to put another nappy in. It’s been working so well! Keeps the odours in & is soo much cheaper than the refills. Hope what I’ve done makes sense, if not lmk 🥰

Sleeping position?

Does anybody else’s newborn sleep in an odd position? Or can anyone tell me why my baby does this? It looks super uncomfortable and no matter how many times I readjust him he goes back into this same position. He favourites the left side as well, he never does this on the other side.

My baby is 4 and half months old and is already rolling over , he’s a curious little bean and loves to watch people and in the bassinet that’s hard for him to do , wondering if it’s time to switch it over to the pram attachment and have it reclined so he still has back support , ftm here so any advice is appreciated

First time mom issues

Ever since I became a mother, I get criticized for almost everything.

I breastfeed, and I constantly hear that “breast milk doesn’t fill the baby up” and that I should give formula.

I’m currently unable to work, and I hear things like, “This is America people don’t stay home with kids, put the baby in daycare,” even though I’ve applied and haven’t been approved yet.

My child feels safe enough to be herself when I’m around, and somehow that turns into, “The baby is too clingy you need to put her in daycare.”

When my baby cries, I drop everything to comfort her, and I’m told I shouldn’t do that because I’m “making her clingy.”

I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a mother, but God chose me to be this child’s mother, and I intend to give her all my love, care, time, and dedication. It is my mission.

I pray to God every day.

The life I imagined didn’t happen, but I am grateful for what I’ve learned in these past four months.

I’ve learned to speak softly. I’ve learned patience.

What more could I ask for?

Every day, I just thank God for sending me my little honey bun. 💛
