It could be if you haven't being changing the area much and injecting into the same site, you can get lumps under the skin. My left leg can get painful because I always do my night jab there I try to not inject there for a week and it usually gets better

I personally prefer the novofine needles over the bd fine needles. Maybe change brand of needles if you can.
