Laying on a hard flat surface with your legs bent and your arms above your head. I have to slowly bring up my knees because it stretches out your back and you don't want to do that too fast or you'll hurt yourself more. I hope I explained my method well, if you have any questions let me know
I went to a physiotherapist for 6 weeks because that was all that was covered by my health insurance and they gave me a bunch of stretches that I do 3 times a day until it gets better, I can try to find descriptions and post them too.
@Brittani there's a seated version!? OP I recommend this one 💯 . I did the lying one but this one is probably bettet
I wish I had better news.My insurance covered PT they had me do stretches but I got no relief until I delivered my son I had to take disability earlier bc I couldn't walk. :/
Go to a chiropractor! I went to one when I was pregnant and she helped me so much get relief from my sciatica
Morning stretches does wonders! Laying on a tennis ball in the affected area is suppose to help to
I had this in my 3rd trimester. My advice a foam roller really helped. It went. Good luck
You need to massage the crap out of your piriformis muscle. The muscle is tight and runs along your sciatic nerve. If you massage it and it hurts, it’s definitely tight. Massage it x3 a day for a week and the sciatic pain should go away. My husband bought me a polar roller to help me massage the muscle.
Absolutely nothing helped mine...chiropractor, etc....for a couple months until i got a regular ol deep tissue massage. Maybe this guy was a unicorn at this massage envy, but i was almost mad at how painful the massage was. He told me to breathe through it. The pain was gone the next day.
A bath 🛁
Stretching was literally the only thing that helped
