Weight loss after miscarriage. Is this normal?

I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks on 9th August and I've noticed since then my weight has been going down a bit. My natural weight is somewhere between 50-52kg (I'm 5'1 in height) but I've hit 48.9kg and I'm worried that I'm going to lose more. I'm trying to eat as best as I can but don't always have an appetite for snacks between meals etc and have recently gone to bed hungry a couple of times but I don't make a habit of it. I'm not intentionally starving myself. I still have an appetite and eat 3 meals a day. Is this a normal bodily response to miscarriage?
I'm obviously all over the place emotionally so I'm not sure if this is the cause. I also have a stiff neck and shoulders probably from the stress and I had bad insomnia last night. Please tell me if this is normal or not and will I gain the weight back again?

I’ve lost quite a bit of weight since I miscarried 2 months ago - not sure how much as I don’t weigh myself
Be kind to yourself and maybe set an alarm to make sure you have a snack between meals? Even if it’s something small?
It’s such an emotional thing to go through, it can really affect us physically as well as mentally x

I’ve lost quite a bit of weight since I miscarried in March. I was around 9.5 stone, I’ve dropped to just under 9 so lost half a stone. Weight loss can be a normal reaction to stress but if you’re worried please consult your doctor.

Anyone else’s baby super big??

He’s so tall I’m almost scared bc is that normal 😭 like he’s bigger than every baby I’ve seen that’s older than him, I’m about 5’8-5’9
He’s 30inches maybe more? And about 21lbs he’s almost too long for 12mo clothes
He’s longer than my torso, he sits up all by himself but doesn’t want to roll over yet.
(He was born with club feet that’s why he has boots and bar (: )
He was born Nov 17th 2025

Shortness of breath and heart rate when lying down

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can give me advice - since 22 weeks (I am now 23) I’m really struggling to sleep and find when I lie down I feel a shortness of breathe and can physically feel my heart pounding, even when on my left hand side.

It eases up a little once I remove the elevation from my head but still doesn’t feel super comfortable.

I’m going to see the midwife as soon as I can after bank holiday, but has anyone experienced this?

Thank you!

Illness

No question or anything just a rant 😂. Love it when you wake up in the night with violent diarrhea and sickness at 12 days postpartum with a C section, but still have to battle through the night feeds and general newborn life... throw in a wild 3 year old for good measure and I am feeling very sorry for myself this morning 😂

Boy name opinions!

We really love the name Odin for a boy but my family are super against it because it’s the name of a Viking God. What’s your opinion?!
