Illness

No question or anything just a rant πŸ˜‚. Love it when you wake up in the night with violent diarrhea and sickness at 12 days postpartum with a C section, but still have to battle through the night feeds and general newborn life... throw in a wild 3 year old for good measure and I am feeling very sorry for myself this morning πŸ˜‚

I know that feeling.
My 3 year old was my sickness bug on Monday which meant he could do nursery for the two days hes in. Was fine by wednesday. Thursday morning hit, didn't sleep till 5am and was due jabs at 10:30am but instead had a temp of 39 and had to cancel. I also have a 6 month old and a 22month old

Forceps or c-section

This may be a unique question to ask but is there any moms out there who had a forceps and episiotomy with their first baby and then chose an elective C-section for their second?

I can’t say my labour was the worst because I had a spinal block. So by the time I delivered my baby by forceps I didn’t feel a thing because I was numb from the waist down. But I did find recovery a bit harder than I thought it would be. I know a section isn’t a walk in the park either so just wanted to see if anybody had experienced both and which did you prefer. Or if you’ve got a perspective then please share your thoughts.

Please note this isn’t a post for people to share scary birth stories. Please keep it to facts only about recovery if you’ve experienced both. Thanks πŸ˜ƒ

Anyone else’s baby super big??

He’s so tall I’m almost scared bc is that normal 😭 like he’s bigger than every baby I’ve seen that’s older than him, I’m about 5’8-5’9
He’s 30inches maybe more? And about 21lbs he’s almost too long for 12mo clothes
He’s longer than my torso, he sits up all by himself but doesn’t want to roll over yet.
(He was born with club feet that’s why he has boots and bar (: )
He was born Nov 17th 2025

C section questions

Hiii everyone! I’m a soon to be mum and also have type 1 diabetes. I’ve always been told I’d need a c section if I was to get pregnant but now I’m being told I have the option of how I want to give birth.. I had my mind prepared for a c section but then my midwife terrifieddddd me about it. Just hoping those who have had one could please share their stories and give me some reassurance πŸ’›βœ¨

Early labour, braxton hicks or kicks?

I went to sleep tonight and got woken up at around 1am with what felt like rippling/squirming sensations from my belly button down to my groin. I can feel terrible lightning crotch and baby is kicking away. I have no pain except for some sore shoulders than ive had for almost my entire third trimester.

There's no rhythm or pattern to this feeling but im wide awake now and its so much worse when I lay down. Is this normal? Is baby just getting into position? Are these just intense braxton hicks?
