I know you’re supposed to abstain from sex for a while, my clinic said until after the 6 week ultrasound. Buuut I’m dying…can my husband and I mutually masturbate together at least if I’ve gotten successful betas
How did you women cope 😰

I got told not to cause of the contractions etc etc would make me spit and bleed.

But everyone is different.

Mine didn't tell me anything... they just said if we have any bleeding to stop and monitor it because light bleeding and mild cramping can be normal.

I had a positive beta on Thursday and was given no instructions regarding intercourse so I assumed it was okay 🤷🏻♀️

I think it’s often the contractions related to orgasm they worry about. But I do wonder if they are over cautious sometimes, if roles were reversed I can’t imagine them telling a man to wait until first scan before he can orgasm!
I went for it 🤷🏻♀️. My second beta was in the 800s so safe to assume implantation was a pretty sure thing. I remember doing all the things when I was pregnant with my son and definitely wasn’t abstaining during any part of that natural pregnancy. Clinics are just so ridiculously cautious.

Your practitioner gave YOU specific instructions for your Individual situation. I'd listen, considering that's what you pay them for, and I assume you don't want to restart the process. Tbh some of the moms are encouraging you to do it, bc they are still ttc themselves and not everyone is hoping for your success. You are the one that would have to live with that decision. It's best not to treat an IVF like a natural pregnancy, since it's very different this time around. You should probably wait it out. Everytime I didn't wait, we ended with a chemical. Best of luck

I remember mine said to continue life as normal after transfer
