Switching from Enfamil to Kendamil goats milk

My son has been drinking the Enfamil gentlease formula and at about 5 months, he’s been having issues with constipation. At 4 months, we’ve gotten clearance from his pediatrician that he can start on purée foods. We’ve been doing that but wasn’t consistent. So by 6 mths, we’ve been very consistent with that while still giving him his formula. We’ve given him high fiber foods and even given him prune juice (recommended by his doctor) every now and then. He had a big poop last week when we gave him prune juice but his stool still hasn’t been regular. My husband was very much convinced that it has to be the formula. So we did some research and he saw a video about giving goats milk because it’s easier digestion, no soy, no corn syrup (like the other formulas). But the one that we found didn’t specify for infants so I wasn’t comfortable with that. Then I came across Kendamil Goats Milk infant formula 0-12 months (they have toddler as well 12-36 months) that is sold at target. The ingredients seems good and he will get all the nutrients he needs. We just switched yesterday cold turkey. I taste everything before giving to my son. I tasted Enfamil. It tastes like dirt. I tasted Kendamil and it tastes GOOD! Like, I think I can put it in my coffee good lol. I’ve read reviews and I didn’t see anything lower than 3 stars on google and that was just one comment talking about shipping. This product is based in Europe and apparently, moms have had similar issues and have been ordering overseas to get this and they are raving about it. They’re super excited that it has finally hit the US market. This morning, my son had a small poop but it was soft and he barely grunted. I’m sure there’s some residual Enfamil in that poop. I’ll observe for about a week and see how this works for him. So far so good 🤞🏾. I’ll keep you mommies posted. Have you all thought about goats milk?

Yep! We breastfeed, but if I need to supplement with formula at all we use goats milk - so much easier to digest!

Following coz I wanna switch my lil ones formula too. She has been on Gerber soothe for far too long and I’m not happy with the ingredients.

I suggest baby probiotics, anytime my baby was having gas or trouble pooping I gave her some and she would go with it minutes.. I used baby Gaia brand

We've been using kendamil, but not the goat milk since it doesn't seem to be in stock in our area. My LO loves it. I wasn't excited about switching to formula, but this stuff changed my mind.

I have been using Bubs Goat milk since my LO was about 3 months. He had a hard time with colic and reflux. Before the change he was on Kendamil and before that Emfamil gentlease. Best decision ever! His symptoms were less and he now outgrew them. I saw research next best thing to breast milk is goat milk. To each their own. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It worked great for my LO

It’s going on 2 weeks with this formula and I gotta say, we love it over here. He hasn’t had any constipation issues since switching. He also seems to stay full a little longer. While he was going through constipation, he stopped babbling. A few days into the new formula he’s been regular and started babbling again.

I got the goats milk Kendamil from target. Idk if you’ve tried there.

you just convinced me to switch to the “goat”. Since Ive stopped breastfeeding I’ve been giving my daughter organic kendamil. We also do purées but the formula is her main source. We had a moment when I had to give her a suppository for constipation. That was horrible for her. I blamed the purées though. I wondered if switching her formula would help as well. You just convinced me. I’m going to target today to get a container of the goat! I hope she likes it… hopefully it doesn’t taste much different from the organic kendamil. I will keep you posted :)! Thanks!

we were blaming the purées too. I’ve read that goats milk is the closest to breast milk. We are still loving it and my son is still regular. Poops everyday. Sometimes twice a day. But let me tell you, since I’ve posted this, it has becoming a little difficult find the goat one in stock. I’ve been buying in bulk because my nearest target has been out of it for weeks now. I’ve ordered from target online but the cans have been arriving damaged. The last time I had to travel further out to a different target to replace the cans. Best of luck 🤞🏾

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
