Hi everyone
I’m only 12 weeks pregnant but I’m wanting to start planning and budgeting as early as possible. There seems to be a million brands out there as well as loads of different ways of handling them.
Currently I don’t have any children so I only do about 2 loads of washing a week. Ideally I don’t want to have the machine on every day (although I know I’m probably in for a shock with the amount of washing small things will create!).
Any tips on brands/quantities, storing dirty nappies and washing would be hugely appreciated!

I'm using nappies here and there, not full time and I didn't want to spend a lot when I wasn't sure it would work for me. I got a bundle of nappies, inserts and liners off of Facebook marketplace. However, I felt like nappies looked huge on her even though she wasn't a tiny baby and the cottony materials felt rough.
Since then, we've tried the mamia Aldi nappies which were discounted. You can also find them cheap on vinted, some unused. These fit her better, feel soft and dry quickly.
I'm keeping a hold of the others because her needs may change as she gets older and something else may be a better fit. So I recommend seeing what you can find secondhand or looking for nappy libraries. Bamboo dries quicker but might not last as long as my understanding.

Thank you both!! I will have a look into everything you’ve suggested.

this is so helpful thank you so much! I’m sure I’ll be messaging you and picking your brain soon!
