I have been in for reduced movements a few times over this pregnancy but the last couple weeks I think the baby has moved position and his movements are very irregular! I know they say you should have a pattern and my baby doesn’t so I get very nervous, I’ve been in MAU twice this week already getting the heartbeat monitored and both times everything seems fine. I’m soo anxious about this and I can’t tell now if baby’s movements are actually reduced or if I’m just an anxious mess😩 I do feel him move throughout the day but it’s changed in consistency and the actual movements feel very different. Does anyone else experience anxiety around movements? I’m not sleeping now due to worrying baby won’t move when I’m asleep and I’ll miss it and I don’t want to have to keep coming up to MAU when everything’s fine I feel like I’m wasting their time.

As long as you’re feeling movement most of the day even if it changes day to day I think is fine. Some days my baby moves all day and kicks the crap out of me and others not so much. Usually later in the pregnancy they don’t kick as much as wriggle and change position so the movements do feel different .
Depending on how active you are during the day can change the amount your baby moves too, usually they sleep when you’re moving about a lot and they move more when you rest .
The most important thing is that you’re not stressed though so if that means phoning mat triage a few times a week so be it . They are there to reassure and support you 😊

As long as you feel movement honestly it’s fine! With my first he would go a day where he wouldn’t
Move at all and it would worry me so I would rush to triage only to find a healthy heartbeat. Due to going to triage for reduced movements 5 times I was induced early at 38 weeks and ended up with a c section because my induction failed although my baby showed to have an healthy heart beat each time when monitored, hes now a very healthy energetic one year old!
My current pregnancy i don’t even notice a pattern his movements are sporadic, but I’m honestly not worried because I feel him move throughout the day.

Ive been told by my midwife even if i feel movement it doesn't necessarily mean all is okay with baby. So if i still feel movement but it is reduced to go in still because it means baby is sleeping more which could be a sign of something. Ive been admitted for 3 nights with my second lot of reduced movement as they said they want to constantly monitor the baby. My baby is smaller so it may be a little different to your situation but i will still encourage you to go in to be on the safe side xx
