Planned C section - LGH (due to breech baby FTM)

Anyone had an elective c section at LGH? How was it, any advice?

I have one booked for 13th but also concerned that they mentioned that they cancel a lot and end up moving your date or moving you to LRI (but I'd really rather not go to LRI if I get the choice!)

I had an emergency section at LGH. 41w as noone knew my baby was breech.
Personally my experience was horrendous! But I won't go into detail. Everyone else I know had a fab experience at LGH.

Don't take the dihydrocodine painkiller if they offer as you won't be able to 💩 for days! (I was 9 days)

The nice parts.
You can't feel a thing
Surgery room is warm
One midwife is fantastic

Not so nice
Noone warns you of the bleeding afterwards (I've just stopped after 5wk)
Ward room is HOT - take a fan
Take food as hispital food is gross
As soon as you feel your kegs and catheter is out get up and waddle about and keep waddling about.

Advice for c section, hight wasted clothes and pants, or just Ur maternity bottoms or dresses, as u will not things tight on institution.

Make sure you ask for help and don't struggle to get baby out crib.

Take Ur painkillers so you get up and walking around more you will be greatful for it, just make sure to keep a eye on if going for a pooh.

I had a planned c section in 2017 due to baby being breech. They called me on the Wednesday to go in on the Monday. It made me exactly 39w. My experience was good. It wasn’t cancelled although I was told there was a chance.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

I am so done with pregnancy !

Everything i do hurt . I sit down / i stand up / i walk / i lie down. I am in pain ! I am tired ! His mouvement hurt down there like electricity chock ! My back is on fire ! If i walk more then 5 minutes i feel like i am going to die ( low ferritine) the acid reflux is crazy . I mean i can’t and don’t wanna do this no more . Only 31 weeks !

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
