Just hired the medela symphony pump. What else do I need to get to express my milk please?! Any tips much appreciated. X

What comes with it already?

Some people told me about haaka I think it's called, super cheap to buy my plan is expressing on one side while she's latched on the other just to even it out and stop clogging

Hi love - I had the Symphony immediately postpartum too, before switching to a more portable BabyBuddha. I found it useful having a lactation consultant asses flange size as this can impact comfort and the amount of milk expressed. You can buy inserts or completely new flanges - you can also buy nipple measuring devices online. Of course you need all your sterilising kit too. We sterilised every 24 hrs and kept the pump parts in Tupperware in the fridge between uses. Think about how you want to store your milk - i.e freeze/fridge

I have this pump but a different version and I bought a medela bottle set which also has a teat if you need it and milk storage bags, got from John lewis and then just Milton fir strelising it in a bowl or container

I had the Medela Solo and all I wish id got was storage bags! It comes with the wee bottle that you attach but unless you're pumping and then using it all before you pump again you're gonna need somewhere to put the milk 😊
