Getting induced

For me it’s because my baby is measuring so large, at 36+6 he was measuring way above the 97th percentile line & the scans shown that he was measuring the same as a baby at 42 weeks gestation. They have booked my induction for when I am exactly 39 weeks

Gestational diabetes and cholestasis being induced at 39 weeks

I think you can request elective induction from 39 weeks but it has to be approved by a consultant. I’m being induced for medical reasons at 39+5 but are having membrane sweeps from this week to try to kick start something before hand. My consultant said induction failure rate is higher in first time mums because the body hadn’t done this before and may not be ready to birth so having an induction 39+ is more likely to succeed and not end in a failed induction section. Mental health deteriorating x

I’m 41+3 and had 3 sweeps with no effect. Baby only 1cm dilated and unlikely to come on their own. Induction could take 3-5 days so didn’t want to wait until 42 weeks and then go over. X

For me baby is growing under the 10th centile and had slowed down quite a bit too so consultant had said it was something they usually advise. Although with the way I’m feeling I’m not sure I’ll even make it to my induction date. Every evening at the moment I think I’m heading into labour!

I was induced due to preeclampsia at 39wks should of been 38wks but it was never booked

Because my waters broke and contractions weren’t starting and it’s been 24h

I've been having reduced movements for about a month, they've picked up again abit though, have GD diet controlled, baby measured big but isn't gaining much weight in last 2 weeks, being induced at 38 weeks

Getting induced tomorrow due to low fluid around baby. I’m 38 weeks tomorrow. X
