How to get pregnant while breastfeeding

It is best to seek professional advice I have never heard of a woman getting pregnant without ovulation/period each woman's case is different I got my period while breastfeeding my son and I also got pregnant while I was still Breastfeeding you can also research online whatever you want to know you can research it I hope you do get your happy ending

Just have lots and lots of sex don’t use protection. I got pregnant and my boy is 5.5 months old wasn’t planned wasn’t trying my period never came but yet it still happened lol and I was breastfeeding

Talking to your doc is gonna be the best option. But just some helpful info. Breastfeeding is considered contraceptive for the first 6 months. Obviously, you ovulate before your first period. My kids are 22 months apart. When my son was 22 months I spoke to my doctor about getting pregnant and she suggested I use ovulation stripes to track and to put my son on a breastfeeding schedule that spaced it out for longer gaps since he was breastfeeding for supplement rather then nourishment. He sleeps weaned I had one period and we where pregnant again

I feel okay about the timing it’s definitely not what we had planned but it’s happening so we are trying to make the best of it. We are still in slight denial about it but I had no symptoms of ovulation and only found out I was pregnant by accident. I am fortunate enough to not have any major symptoms right now or with my first pregnancy either. It’s going to be hard to have 2 under 1 for a little bit but it’s okay we will manage somehow and that’s definitely our last one.

They say you can get pregnant while breastfeeding, with or without a period, so I'd start trying when you're ready and check in with your doctor to be sure.

I just talked to my Dr about this and she told me, even if you don't have a period while breastfeeding you can still ovulate. Your estrogen while breastfeeding is super low which is why you don't have a period. To start tracking your ovulation you can take your temp every morning (your temp spikes when you ovulate), take ovulation tests, and pay attention to your discharge throughout the month, when you ovulate it will be very watery.

I didnt have a period after my 3rd was exclusively breastfeeding and got caught pregnant after 3/4 weeks. They have a 10months and 3 day age gap. They are now 11 and 10 years old

If you haven’t gotten your period back yet, it most likely will come back soon. Around 6 months for most exclusively breastfed mothers and that’s because around 6 months babies start to add solids to their diet which will change their nursing habits. Even if you are still nursing on demand, no pacifiers or bottles, your body will still recognize the longer stretches between feeds and the change that baby isnt at the breast as much as they used to be so your period will come back sometime after they begin solids. That being said, it’s not impossible to get pregnant even if you haven’t noticed a period just definitely harder to know when you’re ovulating.

I never got my period back and got pregnant at 9 mos postpartum on accident. It’s possible.

You don't need to have your period back to be ovulating. You can ovulate regularly while breastfeeding and never get your period. It's likely that if you have unprotected sex you will fall pregnant, so start trying when you want to
