Is it every night? Can she sleep in her own bed? My only worry here is when she's older if she's still doing it she will be bullied for it or when you meet someone and turf her out to have them in your bed you'll run into behaviour issues

No it is not unhealthy. Clearly you have a great bond! Plenty of families co-sleep/bedshare. If you feel uncomfortable with your own daughter finding the comfort and safety in you then....
At Gabi no I don't mind at all.i had an argument with my ex partners gf.My daughter stayed there last night she sleeps on bed next to their bed and never had any problem with that.However yesterday her dad had to go to hospital so he wanst there.She got upset when she was falling asleep she was probably worried about him.She told her off and said stop crying and go to sleep.Now she's saying how it's wrong that she sleeps with me and I don't let her grow up.I think she just needed a bit of reinsurance...

Think the gf needs to wind her neck in. Her partners daughter was upset about her dad.... what an emotionless person! Sorry for your daughter 😔 she has time to grow up, don't feel bad about offering a secure and safe space for her. People coming up with "she will get bullied" or whatever, like, if adults stop bullying then kids won't copy them. She will move into her own bed/room when she is ready but she will know you will have that space for her when she needs it
@gabi thanks for that.. I know people have different views but I feel the same she will do it when she's ready...
Can you believe that his gf work at primary school as a teaching assistant with kids same age!!

Yeah that's not okay at all! If a child is upset you comfort them however they need! I was a step mum for a few years and when my ex was on a Nightshift his son was really sad (I couldn't get in contact with dad as he was a prison officer) so I text little man's mum and said can I let him sleep with me she encouraged it and said of course give him all the comfort he needs don't worry if he doesn't sleep through just give him love and comfort and that's what I did. At the end of the day yes she needs to sleep in her own room for her independence and development but a one off while her dad's having an emergency is absolutely a reason to pull her into bed and cuddle!

No it’s not unhealthy. If your both happy to carry on then do it. It shows you’ve got a great bond.

I'm literally lying in bed with my 7 year old daughter now lmao so no I don't think it's unhealthy.. we have sleepovers where we watch a film together and then her dad evicts her in the middle of the night while she's still asleep.(in to her own bed).

I know plenty of people who slept with their parent(s) long after they were considered "too old" by everybody else's standards. Some stopped before they turned 10, some were 13 when they moved to their own bed, and one girl I grew up with slept with her mom until she was 18. I myself was still crawling in bed with my parents plenty of nights when I was 7-10 (even at 13 and 14 whenever the weather was bad, because I used to be terrified of storms 😂). None of us have ended up with any issues. 🤷🏼♀️
Do whatever you feel is best for you and your girl. 💜

I slept with my granny until I was in high school I turned out fine 😅 now my 9 year old daughter sleeps with me even though I would like to sleep by myself now 🤦🏾♀️ do what’s best for y’all

So basically someone that is there to look after and teach kids is saying things like that.... feel like she would be the one that starts the bullying.... your ex needs to have a chat with his new lady about that
@gabi he's useless...didn't say anything.I think he likes it when we are arguing..he is the first one to kick of about something stupid like paying £150 a month but doesn't want to get involved in this.i feel like she shouldn't be seeing him at all..what the point

Have a talk with her, let her know she has no right to say how you parent your daughter. If she has kids then she can do whatever she wants but that is your daughter. Parenting is between you and your ex. If she sees herself in your daughters life, etc. Then she should stick to how you and your ex parent.
@GABI
Thanks hun we fell out I ve blocked her number.i think he will need to see her on his own.that was supposed be original agreement as there was dv involved and its possible something might happand in this relationship.So far everything was good but he needs to make an effort to spend time with her.
