Anyone know how to file bankrupcy? Really need help.
So my ex/child’s father really fucked me over. (TW//DV situation) i finally left and now im trying to put my life back together. He got me into so much debt and I think my only option at this point is to file bankruptcy. My issue is that I don’t have any assets. I literally have nothing to my name when I fled the relationship I left everything I had and now I’m living back at my grandmas house. I don’t even have a job now, because it’s really hard to find something that can accommodate me being the only caretaker of my son, without a car too …accepting now that im a single mom & I’m just trying to get my life on track, but the amount of that I have it’s literally impossible to pay back. I think I’m over 70,000 in debt right now. My credit is totally ruined because of this man, he completely finessed me. Anyways, how do I go about this? What am I supposed to do? I just want the debt to be gone and at this point I don’t even care having to wait seven years because either way my credit is ruined.

Seek legal counsel so you can choose which type and learn the pros and cons for both. It’s not as cut and dry as some people believe (file, debt goes away, 7 years later you are free) there are things in between that one needs to know about to make sure they want to go through with the bankruptcy.
Also, 70k is not terrible debt and can be turned around with a job. I would suggest you apply for daycare vouchers for your son to attend daycare while you work. Also apply for food stamps so you don’t have to worry about that expense.

thank you.. that’s what ive heard, && for childcare ive been on the waitlist for 2 months now still no luck🤦🏼♀️ let’s hope tho! Trying to stay positive, i do have a bachelor’s degree so getting a job shouldn’t be too hard!
I feel why I think it’s terrible. That is because I’m in default so I heard they can suspend your license or freeze your bank accounts and I can’t afford to pay it all at once obviously so :////
