Looking for some advise, I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant and really really struggling with nausea and sickness, I work from home which is great but how I’m feeling is starting to impact my work.
I’m in two minds on if I should tell my boss as I’m up for a salary review at the end of this month. I don’t want my pregnancy to affect my pay review ( I know technically it is illegal for them to discriminate but you know how private companies are)
Should I say to my manager or no?

I told my manager at 6 weeks because similar to you, even though I worked from home it was affecting my work and I wouldn’t have been able to come into the office once a month as it’s a 3 hour commute. If I were up for a pay review though, I may have tried to wait it out.

I told my boss when I was 6 weeks as I’m an estate agent and have to go out quite a lot

I told my TM when I found out due to not feeling well (had a lot of cramping).

I’ve just told my manager at 6 weeks because I’ve had nausea symptoms
It’s better for them to know because if you have to go off work for pregnancy related reason they can’t really do anything about it xx

I am in your situation. I'm trying to negotiate a new role so I'm definitely not telling them until that's resolved.
Illegal to discriminate but there's no chance I'm taking that risk.

It's difficult because if it's affecting your work it might affect your pay review. Hopefully it won't but also its best to tell people for insurance/risk assessment purposes if your at work.
Depends on how you feeling. Hopefully it should be fine and you get a supportive line manager. Xx
Thanks all, honestly my line manager is great! Proper family guy so he’ll definitely get it! I’m just hoping that he’s not then under obligation to share it with the company and higher ups that decide my pay review

I told my manager the day I got a positive test at 6 weeks because I have a physical job so to protect both myself and baby I thought it was best for me to make them aware. I worried about my upcoming probation.

I think guidelines say you need to tell them 15 weeks before due date and ideally in writing. I think it’s so they can prepare mat leave and things as well. It’s probably in everyone’s best interests to know though so you’re covered and so are they x

I would wait if I was you. The last time I shared around 13 weeks and this time i ll probably do so later as currently on mat leave till November 😄
