Anyone else’s baby scream bloody murder when in the car seat/car? He is inconsolable and to the point I don’t want to drive on my own with him as it’s stressful and he cries so badly he sweats and is bright red and sometimes feels like he stops breathing for a few seconds. Not sure why or if there is a solution!

My baby has an utter meltdown in the car whenever the car is in traffic / immobile - whenever it's moving she's asleep and absolutely fine 🤷🏼♀️😂

My elder daughter did this when she was a newborn, never found a way to stop it until we eventually decided to change the car seat and got a joie ispin 360 instead when she was 3 months - and since then the crying stopped.

they have a need for speed 😂😂

Mine does the same it’s so awful!! I haven’t found a solution yet but you’re not alone 😣

my little boy is the same! He seems to sense when I am going under 20mph and kicks off 😂

Mine is the same (does it in the pram too). I put white noise on and sometimes use a dummy which will send her to sleep if she's tired. If not she's likely to scream, especially if we stop. I do remember my son doing this and he did grow out of it. I would love to be able to lift him out and put the car seat on the pram to make life easier... one day 🤞🤞 x

My baby is the same 🥲 I get so panicky I don’t feel safe to drive!

Mine was the same this evening. Completely inconsolable. obviously can't stop becuase on the motorway. Eventually he got himself so out of breath and fell asleep. So stressful!!

My baby started hating the car all of a sudden. I’m not sure what worked out of the things I changed but since I made these changes she’s been fine again and happy in the car. I brought a bigger sturdier car seat (silver cross) I moved her car seat to behind the passenger seat so she can see me better and I changed her nappies to the next size up. 🤷♀️ whatever one it was something worked and now it’s a pleasure to drive her around again! Hopefully you’ll find a solution soon!

Mine is the same as others have said, goes mental in it unless she’s moving so we have to rock her in it and get going as soon as she’s secure! She then tends to fall asleep in the car x

One thing that helped us a bit was realising he had outgrown the newborn insert, he still hates red lights and traffic jams but he’s got so much better now his shoulders aren’t squashed

I tried this but she looks tiny in it without the insert... she's a BIG girl for her age too?! What age did you take him out?

About 7 weeks/12lb. He was around the length it said on the insert, his head was near the top and the padded part of the straps were totally behind him.

@Laura ahh perfect she is 6 weeks but was 11lb 14 last week (big girl) so she should be OK! Tall too! The issue we thought was the sides. Which car seat do you have?

A maxi Cosi one, if you check yours it should give you an indication of when to remove it :)

mine is maxi cosi too I will check
