My baby is 8 months old and still feeds 2/3 times in the night. According to Dr Google, babies shouldn’t be fed through the night after 6 months. But other research says to continue up to 18 months.
Do I wean him off night feeds? Do I continue? 🤷🏽♀️

If it works for you, tell Dr. Google to fuck all the way off. It is biologically normal to wake when hungry. My 8 month old still wakes 1-2× per night to feed. My first was off night feeds by 5 months. Every baby is different. Do what works for you.

My baby is just turned six months and feeds once, sometime twice a night and to be honest she is showing absolutely no signs of stopping

I agree with Charlotte, just do what works for you 😊. I still BF through the night and my daughter is 14 months old. I do think it’s more of a comfort thing instead of a hunger thing now, but I’ll continue until closer to 2 years old/when she no longer wants it x

yeah I’d agree with the comfort thing. He’s never had a dummy and some nights he’ll latch on half arsed and falls straight back to sleep 🙃

My baby is 16 months and still feeds 2-3 times during the night.

my baby is 15 months and he still nurses at night maybe 2-3 times .his dr said to stop but my son says no

I fed my son whenever he wanted, including overnight until we stopped breastfeeding..I'll do the same with my daughter, but night feeds dropped off substantially after 1 yr for us.

I've never heard anyone say to stop feeding them at a certain age. Feed them when hungry. You could also try introducing a little solid food before bed now you're at the 6 month mark. But every baby is different so that's silly to implement a hard rule that doesn't work in the interest of your baby and their individual needs

My son was like this so I started to pump and give his night feedings in a bottle so that he would take in more and be full. It helped.

Perfectly said . Mama speaking facts. Unless Dr Google will be up helping you rock a crying baby.. do what you need to do.

We stopped night feeds when we did some gentle sleep training at 6.5-7 months. My boy went from waking up every 2-3 hours for a feed to waking up just once instantly and then sleeping through. If they eat solids well and are of a normal weight I think its more habitual than a need but that’s based on my experience and what I have been told by healthcare professionals. As per above there are no hard deadlines and its up to you how you deal with your baby. x

If you're okay with that then keep doing. I still do it every night! Just take a nap during the day 😴

So first off, you are meeting your babies' needs, and that is amazing!! It's perfectly normal to feed through the night.
Babies and adults wake for all reasons in the night.
My middle one didn't sleep though till 18 months and now all my mum friends are jealous of how well he sleeps, he's 4 and he settles himself to sleep like a dream now.
If you and baby are happy keep doing what works best for you both
