During the day I’m very good with feeding my 5 week baby girl every 2 hours and I’m focused on getting her healthy and gaining weight as she was born at 36 weeks at 5lb 12 oz. She’s gain 3lbs since birth and has no issues drinking formula milk. Now come night and it’s a different story. I put alarms on to feed her every 3 hours after midnight(till midnight we do every 2 hours feeding) there’s been a few occasions where my brain was so dead(sleep deprived) that I turned the alarm off not thinking why the alarm was going off and went back to sleep. Last night same thing happened and my baby went almost 5 hours without eating as she was also sleeping and finally she woke up and started to cry cause she was hungry and I felt so bad and like such a terrible mom :( my husband suggested to put multiple alarms on, what do y’all suggest? And has this happened to anyone else?

I wouldn’t stress yourself out. I used to feed on demand and it did no harm. My lo was the opposite end of the scale though. He was born at 42+1 at 9lbs 14oz. Not sure if different because of when your LO was born as she was early. But I found that when they are hungry they will tell you.
Is she in the same room as you? I found it’s easier when they are in the same room as you can hear them easier.
My LO is now nearly 15 months and doesn’t wake for feeds. He hasn’t done since around 9months. Only wakes if his dummy falls out.
I wouldn’t stress yourself out, you’re doing a great job!😊❤️

We stopped waking at night for feeds once she had surpassed her birth weight, so if she's put on 3 pounds since birth I would say you're probably fine to just let her sleep and let her wake you when she's hungry. If you're worried though maybe just chat to your gp or health nurse about it
yes she’s in the same room as me her rocking bassinet is by my bed. I wouldn’t ever leave my babies in a different room alone lol my only concern is her gaining weight and getting healthier. Unfortunately I’ve seen all my nieces and nephews stopped eating very young and were thin and I’m afraid my baby might do the same so right now her crying to eat makes me happy and I wanna use this time to feed her as much as she takes.

I totally understand, just don’t be too hard on yourself! Oh no I get that some mums have them in separate rooms straight away but I had my LO our room until 6/7 months 😂 fun time in life that was! As long as she is taking milk in I wouldn’t be concerned. You got to do what’s right for you and your baby as you know what’s best ❤️as long as she’s crying for a feed that’s good news xx
