Just dropped my baby off for her first day at childminders and it was AWFUL. She screamed and clung to me and the lady had to take her from me, I could still hear her screaming as I got in my car. I can’t stop crying and feeling like the worst mum ever.

My friend works at a nursery and says after 15 mins, most children have moved on and started playing.
It’s just us mothers that worry all day, the kids forget about it 🩷
My little girl had a rough day or two, wanting lots of cuddles of the ladies there and crying on and off. Now, she runs through the door and doesn’t even say bye to me! 😂 her face lights up when she sees her “person” and she’s straight to her hand to walk to class.
It gets easier! Are you working or day off? Do something for yourself that you’ve missed. Get your nails done or go get a nice lunch somewhere xx

Oh I know that feeling!!! Took me a while to come to terms with it and stop crying after the drop off!!! But it does get better….they do get settled in and really have a nice day! Plus once we are out of sight they stop crying….
I still miss my little boy when working and wonder what he is upto at the nursery and can’t wait to go pick him in the evening! It’s really nice to hear how they have got on, they socialise and have meals together and play together….I think it’s really good for the little ones!

My little girl was exactly the same and did continue to do this for a few weeks. However every day they reassured me that she was fine after 5 mins and had the best day playing with all the new toys and books. 6 months later and she barely gives me a second look as she skips off to cause carnage 😂

I’m on week 4 of 1 day a week and still crys when I drop him off but soon comes ok. The first day felt the worse for us both. I keep telling myself it’s good for us both him with other kids and me working. X
