My daughter has been skipping naps for over a month. She still goes down in her crib for quiet time, but she never naps anymore.
We moved her bedtime up from 9 to 8:30 thinking she would wake up earlier and then nap. Well, she doesn’t wake up earlier at all, and she sleeps until 11-12. I guess I just need some reassurance that this is fine. If she sleeps for longer stretches overnight and sleeps till noon… it’s the same amount of sleep if she’d had a nap. Right?

Honestly my son went bed to bed about 8:30 last night and woke up at 7:30 and he’s been skipping naps most days. Yesterday he fell asleep for all of 5 minutes then popped up wide awake like he slept 2 hours. I just haven’t been worrying about it because if he won’t nap - he won’t nap. Not much else I can do about it but try. Interested to see if anyone has any suggestions but I’ve just been working under the thought that I can’t force him to nap so it is what it is

My daughter skips naps unless we wake her up in the morning. If I let her sleep until she wakes up then she doesn’t nap
