@JodieI read on mums net some trusts have changed there max low risk to 1:500 but that’s not always a reliable source of information😂
Mines is also 1 in 5000 x
My results also came back 1 in 5000 x
@Georgia yeah same! X
Mine was 1.5000 xx
@Natasha ah gosh! Sounds horrific Glad all is well! 🩷💙
So I had a scary result and had to have a private test which is % and not statistics like the NHS. I went through all my NHS results with the screening team at my hospital, I asked the same as my friend had a max of 10000. They explained some hospitals have a max of 5000 and others 10000, they may also change overtime. So if you got 1 in 5000 it most likely the max result your hospital can give. Hope that helps :)
@Leah it certainly does thankyou!🙂
@Natasha I am so pleased everything was okay xx
Mine was 1 in 1022, which now I'm seeing all yours, seems really particular! Did anyone do the test twice?
My first one was 1:5000 which is the standard rate of measurement in scotland!! Still superrrr low!
Mine was 2900 for one and 3200 for the other which is still low but higher than loads of others I’ve seen…
Exactly the same situation for my first and second! I felt quite worried seeing the massive change!
I got 1:5000 too, was worried but my midwife explained that’s still very low chance.

Mine came back 1 in 1800 - lower chance it says
Mine came back 1 in 48,356 for downs and 1 in 30,785 for E&P x
@Jess those are some high numbers, now I’m feeling concerned 😂
My downs came back 1 in 405 which was considered low risk and Edwards/pateus 1 in 24,000 again low risk again. Even with our numbers we was discharged from the specialist as they consider this with another nuchal scan to be fine as ours measured at 2.7 at the specialist after being 3.8mm at my 12 week scan
Mine was 1 in 4600 for Downes and 1 in 49000 for Edwards/Pateus :)
Yes mine was 1:5000
@Cordelia mine was 1 in 184 for downs. I then had a private blood test also known as a NIPT or harmony test. Was a bit expensive, in this they find the baby’s DNA in your bloodstream. They then test that and I got a 0.001% chance and also the gender. The NHS 12 week test is of you not the baby and that’s why it’s statistics not %, they do the test I had but only if you are in the high risk bracket (1 in 150) but they also offer it for £390 at my hospital if low risk. I only found that out when I called back to give them my result
Mine came back 1 in 50 (high risk) but I went for an extra blood test and came back low risk, anyone else had this?
@Jasmin I was under the impression that if you're under 150, they bring you in and offer more testing.
I just received a call that my screening came back 1:26 for Down Syndrome and I was thinking of taking the NIPT test they offered. Honestly it’s the first time I feel quite scared during this pregnancy.
@Lucia definitely worth having the test f you can have it. Hopefully all will be okay💛
Thanks @Rebecca I think I’ll do that between this week and the next. 🤞
I was 1:5000 and my beautiful daughter was born with Down syndrome 💗
This is my first but mine came back 1 in 5000 too.
