My 16 month old baby girl has always moved around a lot in her sleep but the last couple of weeks she is banging her head on the top and side of her cot when she is moving around (not banging on purpose) and it’s waking her up.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to stop/ help with this?
We wondered if introducing a pillow would help! She is currently in sleeping bags.
We thought about a floor bed but she has a big wardrobe and drawers in her room and unsure how safe this would be at the moment.

Following bc im in the same situation

So I have bought a breathable light weight pillow so going to try this ❤️

what one did you get?

We had the exact same problem. The sound of her whacking her head and waking up screaming crying was just unbearable! I read that they’d learn not to keep doing it (well that didn’t happen) I was so tempted to get bumpers but didn’t.
Then we thought, every time we were away or on holiday she would sleep so soundly in the travel cot….
So she’s been sleeping in the travel cot now for the last couple of months… not sure if it’s recommended (can’t see what the difference would be) but there’s no more head banging! 🤷🏼♀️
