Hi all, just a 4am panic. Any advice appreciated. My little one is 6 weeks old and it’s been quite warm today but she’s barely gone any time without a feed to the point where I felt my boobs were completely drained by 10pm. Skip to this evening and she’s gone 5 hours and then only had a 6minute feed and her nappy was completely dry. Should I be worried?

When did you last change her? I’m assuming around her 10pm feed? I’d expect by now a wet nappy however if not, just keep an eye on the nappies throughout today and make sure she’s having plenty of wet nappies 😊

My daughters feeding often looks like this. Clusters through the evening and then out for a bug chunk of time through the night. She did 9 hours the other night. The nappy is often dry too in the middle of the night, but her nappies through the day get wet frequently and shes putting on weight great so I don't worry about it.
One dry nappy in a 24 hour period is nothing to worry about. Monitor her through the day tomorrow, that will give you a better idea of what's going on.

Thanks both! 💕 Yeah she had lots of wet nappies yesterday. I’ll keep a close eye. It’s hard not to worry 🤦🏼♀️ x

Oh my same here 5 week old been feeding all day and gone 5 hours changed his nappy and it’s dry too I just put it down to he must have slept really well as long as lots of wet nappy’s in the day think we will be fine.

I’ve just gotten a wet nappy 🎉

Yeah they will reach a point where they are getting most of their calories during the day, and that's what you want so that you can ease up on night feeds and wakes. I think if you go more than 6 hours without a wet nappy then you should check with the GP though, but I'm not sure if that's the same once they start sleeping for longer stretches, as they might not wee until they wake.
I'm glad she has done a wet one now and hopefully today she doesn't stress you out! Make sure you are staying extra hydrated as well, as you can't hydrate her if you aren't properly done! This heat isn't the nicest so I know our littles are struggling a bit xx

My baby often is dry throughout the night. Doctor and HV are aware and said aslong as lots wet nappies during day. I will add I can stimulate her to do a wee. Often if I leave the nappy off for 5 mins she will wee. Just doesn't seem yo want to in the nappy 🥴

Hi, sorry I’m no help to this post , however what is this app called and can I get it on an iPhone? My daughters 9 weeks & I track her feedings on the notes on my phone , but if I can do it on an app it’ll be better, is this just for breast feeding or can you use it for bottle feeding to? Thank you xx

Baby tracker is the app I use. Can track all things baby weight breast formula naps etc x
