Expecting Mum's with anterior placentas... when did you start feeling the baby move during yoru first pregnancy?

I'm 21 weeks now and I know there's no need to panic until 24 weeks really, but I am yet to feel the baby boy move.

Hey I am now 23 weeks and did not feel the baby move..I saw the midwife yesterday and she checked the heart beat which was reassuring and I felt the baby move finally today just small moves here and there

Felt flutters when I was 15-17 weeks then kicks here n there since. I think it’s just depends on the person maybe, I have had some scares but try not to panic to much sweet 🩵🩵🩵 team boyyyy🩵🩵🩵

just starting to feel like tapping/bubble sensations and i’m
23 weeks

I've got an anterior placenta and started feeling proper kicks at 15 weeks, before that was just little flutters and bubbles. I'm 20 weeks now and feeling quite big kicks. This is my second baby though 🤷🏻‍♀️

i am currently 34+1, i do have anterior placenta as well but — i remember feeling only tiny movement/flutters from about 20-23 weeks. it seems as soon as i hit 23 weeks i was able to start feeling actual small kicks, and daddy was able to start feeling at around 23+2 as well! completely normal. most mommas don’t even START to feel anything until 20-24 weeks, and heads up there WILL be some days you don’t seem to feel much at all, and then days when baby is much more active :)

Thank you all, that's very reassuring 💙💙

It got so annoying when people kept asking if I could feel the baby abs I couldn’t 😢

I have an anterior placenta and I’m 23 weeks tomorrow. Starting feeling baby move a little last week (thought it could be gas or my constant rumbling stomach!) but saw a kick on from the outside yesterday! So must’ve been baby xx

Avatar

Well I guess you hope it’s the baby 🤣🤣🤣 that’s good to know. I wondered if I’d ever see it on the outside with an anterior placenta

Avatar

I’m 22 weeks and have been feeling little bubble/spasm sensations from about 19 weeks, my placenta is low so I was feeling these higher up that I’ve seen people mention. They’ve not been as strong the past week so I have a feeling my placenta could have moved up a bit and now covering where I’m used to feeling (just my guess - but could be just your placenta high/low position as well as anterior why you aren’t feeling yet x

Avatar

This is my first pregnancy and I started feeling him around week 20 x

Avatar

I’m 20+5 and haven’t felt anything yet with anterior placenta, hoping it won’t be long

Avatar

I've got twins with one anterior placenta. 22 weeks and haven't felt anything yet x

I didn’t start feeling my baby until roughly 28 weeks if that helps! And now she doesn’t stop moving 😂

I'm 23 weeks and started feeling her at 21+6, but she also has days where I don't feel her at all, my placenta is in the way... my main advise, ignore anyone who acts like something is wrong... I had an auntie say to me "oh no, you can't feel her, how awful, aren't you worried" when I was 20+5 and I have a sick sense of humour and looked her in the face and asked if she was Insinuating my baby wasn't okay, and that it was very rude and scaremongering is an awful thing to do. Not a single person said it to me after that point.

All in all, don't panic, they move more in the bath or when you lay on your left x

I have an anterior placenta and I felt her at 21 weeks exactly, I had crippling anxiety for the 3 weeks before after hearing all the first time mums talking about movement at 18 weeks. I don’t feel her that often, mainly at night around 10pm and at my scan she was wiggling everywhere and couldn’t feel her so don’t get too worried! As you said, don’t have to panic as you’re only 21 weeks! Hope you feel them soon 🥰

Avatar

20+6 and haven’t felt much yet, what I have felt I can’t be sure it was baby..? I am also anxious about it even though I know I shouldn’t worry until 24 weeks! It’s hard not to, especially when you see so many others have!

Avatar

I have an anterior placenta and this is my first baby. I first started to feel movement from 14 weeks. I started to feel proper kicks and have been able to feel them on the outside as has baby's dad (and see the kick/punch) since around 20/21 weeks

21 weeks hun ✨💫

I’m 22+4 weeks, it’s my first baby, and I have an anterior placenta. I started feeling the bubble/spasms around 16/17 weeks, and the past 2 weeks I’ve been feeling kicks, and him rolling around in there which feels weird, like a bit of pressure. And this week I’ve can feel him kick sometimes if my hand isresting on my stomach. Everyone’s different, but you’ll get there mama 🥰 before you know if he won’t stop kicking you!

Avatar

Just started properly feeling it today (20+4), by properly I mean it’s definitely nothing else. At first it did feel like a tickle from the inside and I would only feel it in the evenings when I wasn’t running around busy with life. So it could be that you just don’t notice them yet because they are very fleeting and require you not to do anything else to catch them

Avatar

20 weeks and I only feel baby move when it's big sweeping movements (big stretches and full body turning), small things, nothing. I only feel baby on the left side but my anterior placenta is also slightly wrapped round to the side which is causing that buffer. Baby likes to be face down in my pelvis at the minute so that doesnt help me feel anything... i was told in the next 2-6 weeks it should all change and by week 4 there will be distinct patterns

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
