As everything is being replaced by UC, could you migrate over and then apply again? Not sure itâll work but I think everyone has to migrate over at some point soon

I was thinking the same, could you not move to UC/ask citizens advice for guidance? X

They seem to be really strict with it, I went from full time to stat maternity which is considerably a lot less than what I earned & they rejected me too as I donât receive benefits even though people on benefits get so much more đ€Ł

the guy said on the phone after the baby is born I could go onto it then could get it but it really depends on my partner I think I applied for UC when I lost my job due to being pregnant and we didnât qualify because my husband worked and earned enough even though bills are 1k maybe I can re try when I have the baby

people on the phone know basic things, they donât know everything and if there is no figure in front of them they wonât be able to work it out. Youâll have the child element when baby is born so you may get something but theyâll take your parents salary into account still too. No harm in trying again!

I think if your partner earns over 40K then you donât qualify?
But could be wrong. We are on UC and my husband only earns 27.5K and we get a measly ÂŁ180 a month đ so itâs not loads! Think people often think itâs more than it actually is!
Our online calculator said ÂŁ290. Then obvs will get the child element as well when babe is born x

my husband is on 14k a year salary x

so itâll obviously come down to what youâre earning as well. Iâm not currently earning anything, so ours is based solely on his income.

I wasnât either as I lost my job so I was on ÂŁ0 but they still said no so had to then go on Job seekers as it was the only support I could get and I am still on it until my mat form comes in

Have you given then clarification you're expecting?
