Stairs

So I have a stair gate at the top of my stairs
My son at 13 months can climb then and has done it with me behind him which I’m super proud of but worried this will happen when im not behind him and obviously don’t want him to fall
Some of my friends and some haven’t
If you suggest not and them learning how can I help make this safe

We've got a stair gate at the bottom as well as the top because we don't want her to climb up even though she is able to do it.

We have one at the top and the bottom. As soon as the bottom one open he’s off like a shot 🤣 he now also like to go down them on his belly or bump down on his bum. We are always there but he loves it

Sorry he’s climbing the stairs not the stair gate lol!
He loves it and I don’t want to start saying no as he very quickly finds things funny and does it more if I say no so I was thinking to get him to do it safely. I stand behind him and he’s very good but obviously don’t want him to do it unsupervised

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.
