2nd Baby - Breastfeeding

I am currently 1 month PP with my second daughter and I have an almost 4yo who was EBFed until she was nearly 3.

This time around, I feel that my breasts don't get as engorged as with my first hence I'm worried about supply. My 2nd daughter seems to be putting on weight fine and we even had the infant feeding support lady come to review and help check if I was doing it right (it went really well) but these past few days just make me feel like I'm not producing enough.

Anyone else have this issue with their 2nd child?

TIA xx

Yes! I kept saying to the midwives and health visitors that I was sure I should expect more supply and engorgement this time as a lactation consultant told me as much. I barely noticed my milk come in with this baby, no leaking, couldn't feel my letdown, no engorgement, I was so paranoid! But he made it over his birth weight and everything else is fine.

Yep I was still feeding my toddler until 2 weeks before baby arrived. Very minimal engorgement here too but not concerned. Weight gain is good, lots of wet & dry nappies, so I'm seeing it as a blessing 🤣

I feel like I had some engorgement for the first 2 weeks but now over 3 weeks it seems to have leveled out and they arnt painful or feeling as full. I'm hoping everything is okay? Seem to have plenty of wet and dirty nappies so I'm just going by that until we see the HV beginning of October 😬 xx

Omg ladies... thanks so much! I thought it was just me feeling like as if this BF journey isn't gonna be a successful one but these are very assuring. Good luck to us all 🙏🤎

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x

Any experience with different teats?

Hey Mamas

So my little girl is exclusively breastfed but she wont even take FRESHLY PUMP milk from the bottle. I had a whole 4oz that was going to waste and baby girl was just massanging her gums and smiling lol :/
Ive tried adding extra holes with a needle, the ol' switcheroo (BF first then switch ti bottle) but she's very keen and notices straight away.
Im currently using Nuby and Tommee silicone bottles, and I would like to try more softer, boob-like teats.

Id ideally like her to take a bottle so Dad can give me a REAL break yknow.

Has anyone had this same experience? Any teats one would recommend?
Thank you in advance!
