Has anyones twin stopped pooping? I've started exclusively pumping for him as I think he may be a lazy drinker.
I've tried the bicycle legs. It's been 3 days, if he doesn't go today I I'll call the HV.
Any tips to try and get him to poop?

We noticed one of our twins stopped for a few days when the poops became the mustard coloured ones. She went about 5 days in the end but we were told if she's still drinking ok and acting normal then they weren't worried

Have you tried a bath, sometimes a bath can help relax the muscles? Massaging belly can help also xx

Babies exclusively drinking breastmilk can go 7-10 days without pooping, they absorb way more nutrients

Our twins had the same issue. Have you tried messaging his tummy in the horseshoe shape or stimulating his bum with a thermometer or a windifrida type tool? We had to do that a lot early on with ours to help get their poo out. It's no fun, but it works!!
he seems fine in himself and plenty of wet nappies but just no poos. He's also been passing alot of wind which makes me think he might be constipated
Thanks for that, maybe its the transition as the last poo was the black/green one
I did try a massage earlier as his belly looked a little big, they're cords have only just fallen off so maybe I'll try a warm bath🤔 thank you
thanks! I did see that online too, hopefully I'm just worrying over nothing

Yeah we have had both ours constipated a bit and we think it was the adjustment to the new outside world diet. We were told to ring the midwife if we were concerned but when we did they said they would only be worried if they weren't eating, no wet nappies or it had been about a week or so. Which to us seemed mental but it was a waiting game in the end.
Constant belly massages and bicycle legs in the mean time
thanks for that! Going to look up a windifrida, I've never heard of that!

Called it the wrong thing, but here is a link from Amazon. There are other brands that are cheaper that are the exact same thing. They help with gas and simulating their bums to help with poo
Thanks guys, he managed to get it out today without any intervention, needless to say it was a messy change🤢

Good job lil guy!! Won't be your last messy change either, unfortunately!

It happened to one of my girls. Olive oil is better for the stomach massage. I had to change my baby's formula and look out for cues to help her poop.
