Weird or is it just me?

So, my MIL is at my place weekly. Typically to give me a break from LO, but they started school yesterday. Anyway, during these visits she will also help with house and yard work. She was working in the yard yesterday. Since it was hot and humid, I offered the use of the shower, since she said she had brought a change of clothes.

I got home from an appointment in the afternoon, and she was just coming out of the shower. No big deal.

UNTIL, she said that she had borrowed a pair of underwear, and a bra from me. I feel like my privacy was invaded.

We are also not the same size. My weight fluctuates lot, so I do probably have things on her size... but still.

Is it weird?

Yeah a bit weird but I don’t think it was done maliciously. She sounds like a great MIL helping around the house & doing yard work, so I’d just forget about it if it were me.

Definitely really weird !!!

Some people think borrowing other people's clothes without asking is okay. I happen to disagree. But I know enough people who think this way to know that the MIL probably thought it was fine.

For me if someone I care for (and isn't an unsanitary person) needs "the shirt off my back" or to borrow a bra and underwear because they forgot they can either keep them or wash them. 🤷‍♀️

I would day something if it happens again, or just buy her undergarments she can keep at my house?

Weird for sure but... not unforgivable

Yeah, no. Borrowing used undergarments is gross. I don't care if they've been washed.

I'm not saying it's a detriment to your relationship or anything. She sounds like a great MIL, but I would definitely be flabbergasted and questioning her hygiene at this point. And the fact she went through my drawers would make my skin crawl.

I don't care if I forgot my underwear at home. Guess what, I wouldn't be wearing any then.

Let her keep it and offer her to bring some items to keep in your house in the future in case she needs to shower again. She sounds amazing and probably just views you as family and didn’t think anything of it. I wouldn’t want them back personally, but I wouldn’t say anything of it as I wouldn’t want her to then feel any type of way.

Hmm weird to me. I would find another place for your underwear. Better yet maybe give her a drawer or somewhere in the house to keep a complete change of clothes so she doesn't do that again LOL maybe tell her she could keep the set she picked.

I can’t imagine borrowing someone’s things rather than going commando and high-tailing it home! So so weird

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
