Hey guys so I’ve just been told by my doctor that my blood work showed I got herpes 1. She told me I have gotten it recently from someone who is infected. She also told me it’s nothing to worry about unless there is a flare up. I don’t know why this is stressing me but I did told my child’s father whom I’m not having intimacy with because he has another female and I keep getting infections. He told me that I could have it a long time now but it’s just now showing in my blood works. The doc tried her best to explain it to me but I just can’t seem to grasp everything. Does anyone knows anything about this.

I worked in an obgyn clinic we did see this often so basically the more you stress the more flare ups you will have. It does take up to three months to get a positive in your blood work idk how frequently you have blood work and how often they test you for these things. If it has been a long time it could be that you’ve had it awhile without flare up. If you recently had a child then you should think of who you’ve been with since because we usually (not sure if yours did) test for all of that stuff in your first set of blood work during pregnancy.

Oh my love.. you could’ve literally gotten it as a child. It’s as simple as a child giving you a kiss or taking a drink from your cup and them being infected and now you’d be too. It’s not something that’s tested because it’s so common. Your doctor explained the best she can you pretty much aren’t supposed to worry unless you get flare ups, that’s when it’s active. You can give it to others even if you’re not showing symptoms. Just take care of your health don’t beat yourself up about it.
