I’ve struggled with pain my whole pregnancy but in the last couple of weeks it’s gotten so much worse. I’m 31 weeks and last night several times I had pain in my left side, mostly in my groin and leg. Luckily these didn’t last long but I woke up this morning and it was 10x worse in my right side and just wouldn’t go. A few times when I’ve turned over in the night I get this sudden sharp pain that makes me have to turn back over. I’ve told the midwifes and doctors about this several times and nothing has ever been suggested to help they just brush past it. Any advice on ways to help this? I’m honestly so fed up 😩

My SPD has been pretty bad this week 31 weeks too I knew it would be as I’m hyper mobile. If you haven’t already, sleep with a pillow between your legs, get a support belt for walking in the day, get a ball to sit on in the day, I’ve been seeing physio they just recommended pelvic floor exercises (I use the Squeezy app), lunges and clams for me. You can take paracetamol too if needed. Other than that it’s just put up with it, moving in bed at night is the worst I find my body just naturally does it less than it used. I also see an Oesteopath and reflexologist sometimes these help and I found when I was going to the gym and doing weight training more that that was actually helping x

I have this too, I'm 30 weeks and I've been up since 4am as couldn't sleep at all last night. I'm in agony today. Pelvis hurts so much back hurts and my right leg feels numb. I've took paracetamol and it's took some pain away but I'm laying on sofa with a fan on me tired but can't sleep as my daughter and her friend are noisy lol.

Sorry sorry this is happening to you. PGP is no joke- especially on the late night toilet runs. Getting off the bed is a battle every night. My doula says walking through the pain helps to relieve it. It hurts but it’s your pelvic bones making way for baby. The things we go through 😩❤️

Physio helped me last time round. Going to try an osteopath this time

Physio, spinal massage and Pregnancy Yoga helped me.

If you can afford to, go and see a chiropractor. I had it really bad in my first pregnancy and it massively helped and this pregnancy I’ve kept on top of it so it hasn’t got as bad, it’s awful x
