Ebf baby biting boob

I delatch her and say "we don't bite" I also then offer a cold compression to bite on. I also look for cues for when she is going to bite...she goes still, stares and moves her tongue out the way, so that's when I unlatch her to try and catch is before she bites. Ultimately if she keeps doing it I stop the feed and massage gums and distract her until she's ready to feed and not bite again

Give something cold to chew on before a feed also when they’re biting to get them off squish their face into your boob and they’ll have to let go to breathe🥲

Thank you girls, I've tried the squish her face to my boob, but she thinks it's a game 🤦‍♀️🤣 I just have a fear of feeding now 😑

ooh no!! 🙈 she used to do that, and she's so nosy if we're feeding and someone walks past or something on the TV makes a noise she swings her head round while holding onto my nipple 😬

Mine have both done it and for both it was a pretty short phase. I noticed my youngest did it when he was distracted so now I only feed him in the dark in his room when he wakes up from a sleep or when he's about to go to sleep and that's been fine so far. It's so horrible isn't it! Almost launch the baby across the room.

It's thankfully a phase. Stop or no thank you and take off boob every time they do it.

Literally just been through this so feel you!!! My little girl did it for a couple of days and I was a nervous wreck to feed her, full on anxious and sweating but she’s fine again now! I’ve read it’s teeth/ development so hang in there xxx
