Does anyone know if your meant to use these in the hospital for wiping eyes and first few nappy chnages?
Thanks

I personally won’t be as I can’t stand the feel of it, makes me feel sick! I’m just taking water wipes

I have water wipes too but they also make me sick because of the feel too but thought my partner could do all that work since thier vile to touch xx

My partner is the same with as me with cotton wool but we don’t seem to mind the water wipes

At my antenatal class she said these are going to be very messy with babies first poo so water wipes all the way lol

Used these in hospital for first few poos, but once home just moved on to water wipes. Will do same with second baby.
First poo is messy/sticky regardless what you use 😅 wee tip, put vaseline or coconut oil on babies bum before and this will make cleaning up a bit easier 😊

Can you not use fragrance free/ sensitive wipes?

, for babies bums, yes, but for faces, not really.
Cooled boiled water is meant to be better on their skin.

I never did with my first & won’t be with my second, straight in with baby wipes with us
And for face just flannel & warm water from the tap lol

I’d get a cotton wool pleat instead, you can use much bigger bits and not get so messy.

admittedly I’m just using water wipes for mine. they say you’re meant to use cotton wool but all the women i’ve spoken to said that cotton wool is just a pain in the arse. maybe use it at the hospital so they don’t start having a go and then switch when ur home x

I took baby wipes to the hospital with my first and no one even mentioned a thing🤷🏼♀️

Honestly i would suggest large cotton pads instead. Much easier

You can use cotton discs, I found them easier and better. There are some extra big sizes so you don’t need as many per change and also they are cleaner than the wipes

I’ve got water wipes to take plus a pack of baby cotton pads.
I tried the cotton wool with first baby and won’t be bothering again this time.
