Hospital bag

I took 6 babygrows but I had 3 for each gender as I didn’t know what she was going to be.

Just pack an extra few sets of things for you and baby, plan for 2/3 days give or take a 💩🤢 explosion!

I packed a muslin blanket, burp cloth, hats, baby grows, socks, 0 size nappies, wipes, a teddy, an announcement card and a homemade blanket x

I took 3 vests, 3 sleepsuits, couple of hats, cardigan & blanket for our December baby. I had my husband with me the whole time so he could have always ran out to get more if needed. We were in for about 36 hours after the section, we would have been out sooner as baby was fine but I had sepsis so had to wait for blood results x

Ok so mine wasn’t elective so that probably changes a lot. I would suggest maybe two- three sets of pjs if your thinking you will be moving a lot. I was in the gown to the last minute because I had a catheter till 1hr before leaving due to pushing for three hours. 🥴 I only had the going home outfit and honestly that was good for me. He was either being held or skin to skin with me. 💗

I ended up in hospital for 3 days after an emergency c section. I'd packed 6 (3 vests, 3 baby grows) but only ended up using 2 (one vest & one baby grow) and one more seperate, "special" baby grow for going home in 🤣

Also take some 0-3months and some newborn sizes. My little one didn't fit the newborn size so was glad I took 0-3m!

We took 3 long and 3 vests but it’s been so warm we only used the vests, was only in for 24h though so he only actually wore 1!
Second taking different sizes I brought mostly newborn and was lucky he only needed 1 vest as I’d only brought 1 bigger one and it was the only one that fit him the chunk 😂

I took 3 of everything just I'm case. I was expecting a 5lb baby but he was actually born 6lb 8oz...

X3 socks
X3 mittens
X3 cloths
X2 blankets

BTW I over packed. So all this was wayyy too much! The hospital provide you with a blanket for baby and also 80% of the time your baby is having skin to skin with you.
