16Wk Midwife Appointment

What should I expect at the 16week midwife appointment is there anything I need to take specifically? What kinds of things do they go through?

Mine listened to baby's heartbeat with a doppler, took my blood pressure and asked for a urine sample. Nice and easy with just a few questions too 😊

Mine did blood pressure and urine samples asked if I had any questions and that was it ,in there less than 10 minutes

Are we allowed to record the heartbeat cos my OH won't make it

I had to get bloods done to find out what type of blood my baby has. Also got the whooping cough vaccine and she asked some questions. I’ve noticed on these posts that a lot of midwives arnt listening to the heartbeat at the 16 week appointment just incase they can’t find it

my midwife suggested recording the heartbeat so my husband could hear. To Ellie's point, before she tried she was careful not to promise she'd be able to find it!

Take your notes and they will just check urine blood pressure and some check heart beat some don’t.
If they check heart beat you can record on your phone xxx

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

I am so done with pregnancy !

Everything i do hurt . I sit down / i stand up / i walk / i lie down. I am in pain ! I am tired ! His mouvement hurt down there like electricity chock ! My back is on fire ! If i walk more then 5 minutes i feel like i am going to die ( low ferritine) the acid reflux is crazy . I mean i can’t and don’t wanna do this no more . Only 31 weeks !
