Hey y’all! This is my first year homeschooling! My kids and I are super excited to begin this new journey! I have a 3rd grader, and a 4th grader. We will be using miacademy, as well as some lessons from myself. Any tips or advice on homeschooling would be great! ☺️

Hi! we’re homeschooling too! I have a 3rd grader! I use a lot of Pinterest and Tik tok for any inspiration. But Jersey has some AWESOME places for field trips, check out your local library and if you’re on social media, you can find groups on facebook that are homeschooling groups in jersey as well as your county! Don’t be hard on yourself if you need to take a break one week to avoid burn out, I was hard on myself the first year to make sure everything was tone at a certain pace and burned out!

Thank you!! I’m so excited to start planning field trips. Education.com also has some good worksheets on there! I can’t believe I never started homeschooling sooner lol

before i found the curriculum were using now I was getting a lot of awesome work sheets from Teachers pay teachers, there’s also this really cute thing where kids can “adopt” a cow and they provide lessons about cows and dairy things and farm life and it’s free! it’s called https://www.discoverdairy.com. They mail a picture of the cow as well as a birth certificate! it’s a cute thing

definitely, homeschooling has been the best thing ever!

omg I def need to check that out! That sounds so cute, thank you!☺️

I saw your in Willingboro! I'm not too far from you. Between Burlington, Camden, & Gloucester counties there is a TON of opportunities for homeschoolers! And that's not counting every East (beach), West (Philly), & South.
I'm a homeschooling mama of 3 wild and wonderful boys- 8, 5, & 13 months. My best advice is to make sure you take time to learn about "deschooling" & put it in practice. And to not recreate school at home. I'd be happy to share a bunch of resources for places to go, homeschool associations, etc.

do it!!

omg you’re so close! Lol YES! I would love for you to share these places! It’s so nice hearing from other people about their homeschooling experience. What’s deschooling?
