Waiting for this to get easier....

So many people kept saying once you get over the first 3 months it gets easier. We'll he us 14 weeks now and I feel like it's getting harder!! Crying most days now as I just don't think I'm very good at this. I feel sorry for my little boy having me for a mum.

Don't be so hard on yourself! Some babies do cry more than others. Doesn't mean your a bad mum. This heat isn't helping any little ones, or mums actually. Feel free to message me x

Well for one, you are good at this. You got your little one through 14 weeks! Because he is crying might not have anything to do with what you are doing. Have you spoken to your GP or healthcare visitor about his constant crying? There might be an underlying cause that they could investigate for you. There's no prize for best mum, it's not a competition and you are doing the best you can!

Hey babe. I’m so sorry to hear you’re struggling. There’s nothing worse than hearing someone tell you it’ll get easier when it feels like you’re drowning.

I was looking back at your last posts, I noticed you breastfeed. Do you think he could still be hungry as it’s hard to measure when breast feeding how much they’re getting?
Could he have a diary allergy which is passed through you?
Usually there are reasons why they sleep so poorly / cry a lot. (There are some unfortunate ones that do just cry a lot!)

My little boy has CMPA (cows milk allergy) and he is so sick and angry when we winded him. He was already on allergy milk but just gone to a severe milk allerg one and he is a totally different boy in a few days!

It may not be any of those things but you will learn to grow with him. Don’t ever feel sorry for him having you as a mum - you’re the best thing he knows! If you ever just want a chat or rant please just reach out. 🩷🩷🩷

Ahh Steph it’s so hard first time. I’m honestly only okay because this is my second. All babies are different and it’s so hard not to compare with others weight or get obsessed with naps and sleep. I certainly did. Your little boy is lucky to have a mum that cares so much she cries. But if you feel down every day it might be worth a chat with your GP too.

My little boy was crying so much after feeds, was sick and often cried really hard right before he did a poo. I EBF and was told by the GP that it was reflux so we had medication for that. However, it didn’t work. I was then told to cut out dairy and soya from my diet. It’s been a few weeks now and he’s definitely better than he was before. Don’t get me wrong, he still cries but he seems much happier than before. You could try that? I noticed a difference within a week so it should be fairly quick to see if it is that or not

Hi Steph,
Firstly let me tell you - YOU ARE THE BEST MOM ❤️
It's not easy to be a mom especially when you are FTM and trying to make sense out of things. I was in a similar boat with my LO and it took us 10 weeks to realize that her crying was not bcz of hunger but bcz of stomach issues. If your LB is ok try doing tummy time as much as you can or see a pediatrician to diagnose exact issue.
Sometimes even being a mom doesn't make us 'you will know it all' human overnight. As they say, babies don't come with manual and so is motherhood. Sending lots of love and hugs 💕

I know how you feel i feel the same, its just automatic with this image in our minds what type of mum we are going to be and reality isnt like it and it makes rhink weved failed, my LG constantly hysterically crie when hungry she shows no othe cues and i just cant ever calm her i feel like i make her worse somehow, anytging i usually try to do with her she cries so when i leave her to play on her mat shes fine its like she doesnt want me and its heartbreaking at times but you are doing a great job and cos its getting you this bothered just shows how much, you will get there x

Thanks so much ladies, my partner thinks I'm being too critical and he thinks he is a very happy baby generally. Maybe it was the weather. The health visitor does think I might have PND so we are exploring what can be done about that now. I guess I'm just sad that being a mum isn't as much fun as I thought it was going to be.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

I feel like just a milk cow

Hi I have a 16 day old via c section, I'm a FTM never having been around babies before as I am the youngest of my household and from a small family. My husband is fantastic with our little one. But ever since I've had the baby I just feel like the only thing I'm good for is producing milk. I feel disconnected from my husband like the only reason he's around is because am producing milk. We were having some issues before the baby and we're struggling it took a while to feel like he was onboard even though he said he was from the moment we found out. I dunno if I'm feeling like a spear part because I'm lacking confidence with baby or because I feel like he wouldn't mind being a single dad. Is this postpartum hormones or something else?
