I take daily pregnancy vitamins

Been taking it daily since I found out

They recommend you do in your midwife appointment along with vitamin D

i started taking pregnancy vitamins at 3 weeks babe😂

Every single day along with other vitamins

I’m diabetic so I’ve been on the high strength stuff (5mg) for the last year before conception 😅 You probably get a lot of natural folate in your diet but it’s always recommended to take a minimum of at least 400micrograms in the first trimester to reduce the chance of spinal cord and neural tube defects (spina bifida etc) x

Oh you should be taking it as soon as you can it’s most important in the first trimester but beneficial throughout

I have been taking folic acid and vit d3 since I found out but the midwife recommended I take a multi vit too so need to get some

I have been taking it awhile just ones u can buy.

Folic acid is great to take as it helps with the neurological brain development of baby, but doesn’t really do anything after 12 weeks. It won’t cause any harm continuing to take them, but if taken consistently, it’s done it’s job by 12 weeks
I would of only took a few in the last 6 weeks? Do u think that will still cause harm I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and I'm panicking cos they made me throw up this time round.
@Olivia how many weeks are u now?
I've been eating foods with vitamin D does that help any?

Vitamin D is certainly beneficial for a healthy pregnancy but folic acid is pretty specific for spinal development which happens in the first trimester. Also doesn’t hurt to continue taking folic acid past 12 weeks but the bulk development happens early on x
