Bedtime

What time are your kids getting to bed now? My girl was going to bed at like 8-830pm the past few months as expected as she’s getting older. It was 7 for ever. The past week, she’s been going to bed super late. She’s going down around 10-1030. She also hasn’t been sleeping well the past week. Last night she got three hours of sleep and a three hour nap. Now she still won’t go to sleep and it’s almost 930. I’m so tired 😖

6:30 or 7. We are down to 1 nap now. How late is she taking a nap in the day. Maybe that’s affecting her sleep schedule. Mine is still pretty early in the day 11:30. But she wakes up at 6am during the week. On weekends I can stretch nap time to 1pm

she was taking naps around 9-930 in the mornings but now she won’t anywhere from 12-2 for 2 hours, sometimes not.

I don’t know how you do it! I feel like I lucked out until now

this really sucks! They say sleep regression happens around 2 years old. We find with our daughter if she’s overtired then she won’t sleep well at all. Establishing a bedtime routine was something another mom suggested to me even as early on as an infant. They know what to expect each night. Do you read to her? Mine is so busy that reading right before bed seems to calm her down and unwind from the day. Hopefully this is only a short period of time for you!

yeah we’ve had a whole routine since birth. Always slept really good expect when teething, sick or milestones. We have a whole bedtime routine too. We read before bed. Got her a night light thinking it was too dark. Maybe it is just the 2 years sleep regression? She’ll be two end of October

Mine still goes to sleep around 7 or 7:30 but she wakes up at like 6:30-7 everyday in the morning for daycare.

has this always been or since she started daycare??

Avatar

Well she’s always been in daycare cause I work, so she’s always gone to bed around that time.

oh ok! Maybe im not tiring her out enough or something? She’s been very good at bedtime up until she was like 1.5 yo. Then she became more energetic. Some days we don’t do enough I feel like even for myself. She’s getting into daycare soon I hope( on a waitlist forever)

I was putting my son to bed by 7:30, and he kept waking up at 3/4am wide awake. I pushed his bed time back to 8:30. He hasn’t woken up but it’s only been 3 days of this… hopefully it lasts 🤞🏼

My son goes to be between 7:30/7:45 lately it's been 7:45-8:15 or 8:30 some nights but for the last month won't actually go to sleep until 9:30 or 10 and last few days 10:30. I think he is going through a sleep regression as he has at 6/9/12/18 months but this one has been a bit longer. Tonight thank goodness he went to bed at 7:45 and was asleep by 8:15

My son always went to bed late around 9 or 10 and would sleep 12hr. He also had a very predictable 2hr nap that was roughly 4hrs after he woke up.

Last few weeks he is sleeping significantly less. He is very hyper and excitable at bedtime and It's taking longer and longer for him to settle and fall asleep. He's going to bed about an hour later but he isn't sleeping in an hour later. His nap has also dropped to only 1-1.5hr and the start time is no longer predictable. In the last month he went from sleeping 14hr (in 24hr) to about 12 -12.5;

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
