break up or stay ?

not a poll but i need help,

ever since having my baby (he’s 7 months now) me and my bf have been feeling different. well i think it’s mostly me due to the postpartum and other issues. i used to live with him and his family the first 3 months of my son being born and now that i’m out of work i didn’t really see a reason to stay there anymore. i only stayed bc his mom would watch my son while i was at work. i have lots of reasons as to why i don’t want to be with my bf anymore.
1) while i worked (6:30am-2:30am) he would be asleep the whole time and wouldn’t wake up until i would get home, i get that he works graveyard (6:30pm-2:30am). but he couldn’t wake up to watch his own kid, which irritated me so bad. i wanted to tell his mom to tell him to man up and he’ll watch his own kid but i didn’t want to start anything. even though i wouldn’t get any sleep at night, i would be dying at work, tired, in pain from heavy lifting. then come home to take care of my baby and then do it all over again.
2) he would drink alcohol like it was water, i don’t drink anymore due to breastfeeding and just not enjoying it anymore. he would drink and drink and when i would tell him to stop he would get mad and ignore me and my son.
3) the first month of my son being born he would play his xbox all night and would be loud and wake up me and the baby. so i never got any sleep and and the tv would be bright and he would just wake me up to say the baby’s awake and i would have to get out of bed and tend to my son without his help.
4) he never helped with anything, no diaper changes, no changing clothes, no bathing him, no washing his clothes, i did everything while being sleep deprived and crying all night almost everyday. i would have to ask his mom if she can watch my son while i went to take a shower bc my bf is a heavy sleeper. one time when i was showering i was finishing up and i heard crying and i was trying my hardest and fastest to get dressed and i heard the crying getting quiet so i knew my bf was walking away and when i was finished i went out to look for them, he was in the kitchen slamming the cabinets and i was like give me him and he looks mad asf and he’s like go to the room and i’m like just give me him and he pushes me to go to the room and i get mad and i sit on his bed getting ready to feed my baby and he kinda like passes me him a little hard i’m like dude really and he leave the room and slams the door. and sometimes when i’m over i can hear my son crying and then some time later he’ll stop and so i go to my bfs room and i don’t see my bby so i’m like where is he? and he’s like my mom/sister has him. he can’t even calm down or wanting to hold his own son
5) he smokes which is something i told him while i was pregnant to not being doing that anymore cause i don’t want my baby around that. idc if y’all don’t agree with this but if you’re agreeing to something for the sake of your baby then i find it really disrespectful to go behind my back and still do it. i looked through his phone and he’s texting his coworkers about smoking after work and pulling up to their houses to smoke with their girlfriends and honestly that right there is pretty disrespectful to me. and he’s asking somebody for ❄️ like dude, you lied and said you don’t do that. i don’t want him around my son if he’s going to be doing that kind of stuff
6) his mom has been getting a bit too comfortable with my son, yeah i know that’s her grandson, (her very first grandchild) but the things she says and does i don’t like. while i was talking to an old manager at my old job i was holding my son and my old mgr is playing with him, my mil comes and just takes him out of my hands and doesn’t say anything, she just goes and walks away, that was rude to not just me but to my manager bc we were in the middle of talking, shes made comments about my parenting like how i can’t handle my own son, so she’ll take care of him or how i went with them wedding dress shopping for his sister she said “we’ll keep (my sons name), you can leave now” or how they only want my son around. and way before i was pregnant i knew his sister did not like me but when they found out i was pregnant she started talking to me and they started inviting me places which was nice but i wish they did that before i was pregnant, i feel as they only want me around now bc of my son which is not okay with me.
7) he’s just a straight up liar, he lied about so much stuff and i know he’s lying bc i already know the truth, i looked through his phone and he was watching porn, i asked and he said no straight to my face so i had to go back to his phone and give it to him and show him that he had his tabs open to it. he got mad bc i looked through his phone but he couldn’t even tell me the truth, i asked him if he still smokes he said he hasn’t done it in a while and the next day i went to his house i see his wax pens/vapes on his dresser and when i leave and come back, they’re hidden, he thinks i’m dumb bc he lies when i know the truth.
ive lost a lot of trust in him, i don’t believe anything he says. i think the only reason i’m still with him is bc of my son, he’s told me way before that he’ll take me to court if we ever break up, im not scared bc i know i’ll win but it’s just i don’t want to deal with all that bs, i don’t want to have to share my son with him because i know he won’t take care of my son, he’ll leave him with his mom and she’ll do everything. i really just want to end things but idk how it’ll be later on in the future, i never wanted my son to have to go through any of this, i always wishes for me and my bf to be in love but i can’t do it anymore. idk what to do now

My advice is leave him and get yourself together first. It will be good for you and your son. If your parents are in the picture ask them for some help too

also some other little things i can list are; he’s a dangerous driver, while me and my son are in my car he goes over the speed limit, he drives like an asshole, and i’ve told him if he’s going to drive my car, he has to drive the correct way and yet he still doesn’t. i don’t want him putting my sons life in danger like that. he doesn’t really ever spend money on us, only like once every other week just to eat. i sometimes make him buy my son some clothes or a toy because i’m the one that’s buying him everything. but he’ll happily go spend money on alcohol or weed, something useless. he’s very messy, while living with him i had to clean, wash and organize his room and laundry and he got mad. but i’m like when was he ever going to do this. while at the hospital he left bc he needed to shower and clean his room, he was gone for 5 hours and the whole time he was gone he was sleeping. i was by myself in the hospital with a fresh baby, couldn’t even walk bc of how tired and sore i was

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Is it bad of me to think this or no?

My husband has been abroad for work (1 day and exploring for 1 day) for 2 and a half days which means I’ve had both kids (1 year and 4 year old) for 2 and a half days plus cooking, cleaning, taking them to clubs, bedtimes!
He came home late afternoon and said I’m so tired, I just need to chill. I said can you wash up whilst I sort kids dinner out, he said he’ll do it later which means he won’t do it and I’ll end up doing it so I said no do it now please otherwise I’ll end up doing it and he said well you have been home and I’ve been away so you’ve just been relaxing.
Don’t know what planet he is on but having the kids alone for 2.5 days is not relaxing. I was stressed!

When he was away, I did miss him and wanted him to come back but now he’s back, I want him to go away again😂
Is that bad?

Shift worker daddies - advice please?

My husband works shifts (6am-6pm days or 6pm-6am nights) so when he’s on shift we either get about an hour or 2 before he goes to work or an hour or 2 when we gets home with him.

I don’t think people who aren’t married/have babies with shift workers fully understand the impact of feeling like a solo parent sometimes.

Does anyone have any advice? I do have parents who can help but I struggle to leave my baby with others as I always feel like they don’t understand the need for tracking wake windows or feeds and our baby will not sleep unless we black out a room or go for a car drive . Everyone seems to think ‘if he’s tired he’ll drop off’ - no he’ll just get overtired and have to then pay for it during his night sleep. So I feel like it’s just easier for me to do it all myself.

When my husbands off work he is great but I do take the mental load of telling him what to do or even reminding him of wake windows etc because he’s not here and forgets routines. He’s also being tested for ADHD currently so there’s that on top of shift work.

Just looking for advice on how to stay sane/keep routines or share loads with shifts workers?

Thank you ❤️

Really bothered by this

A friend posted this and it really bothers me because that is exactly how she parents her kid, and it's rather unfortunate because when our kids hang out together, her kid has a meltdown at least 5x within an hour. We have know them for years and it's only gotten worse. My kids will concede to hers, because they don't want to see their friend crying, but it sucks because they give up so much of their toys and enjoyment to keep the peace. We aren't hanging out as much anymore but it's rather sad to think she doesn't intervene more in her child tantrums and just let's it slide

Feeling like I’m failing

Hey guys, I need some advice or some positivity here!
My daughter is 5 months next week and she has her first tooth coming through! Yay! But for the past month or so she has become so wary of family whenever I go to visit! She screams, won’t settle, cries the whole time. I went for my birthday to celebrate and I had to leave because she just would cry looking at anyone :( it’s so hard because she used to be so good with anyone!

Will this change or is this just the way she is? I try to see them as often as I can, and my MIL is looking after her in two weeks overnight and part of a day and I’m petrified of what’s going to happen, that she’s going to scream. My poor MiL 😭. I’m a very calm and collected person and I don’t get worked up when she does react this way… I just feel so sad and down that I can’t be with family and that my poor girl is scared. I give her so many cuddles, milk, toys, going to a quiet room, but she just doesn’t settle 😭

Please someone say this is a phase and there is light at the end of the tunnel ?!!

With the weather getting nicer I just feel we are going to miss out on so many lovely family memories
