Recommended weight gain

I'm only 32 weeks and have already gained the recommended 15 lbs my doctor said for my pregnancy. Is anyone else in the same boat, and how do you feel about it? It just makes me nervous, this is my first baby so I don't know if it's bad that I gain more these next few weeks.

I’m only 29 weeks and I’ve gained 40 pounds😂normal range I’ve seen for a first pregnancy is 40-60 and everyone is different but I definitely wouldn’t worry about it

I’ve wondered this too! Initially my doctor said 15-20 lbs max during my pregnancy, but I’ve already gained 25. I would say I was an average weight ;133 /5’7) pre-pregnancy and I am just under 160 now. Yet when I go to the doctor the nurses/doctors frequently mention the lack of “love meat” 😂 or fat on my stomach and the small size of my belly which doesn’t make much sense to me. BUT I’m gaining the weight somewhere… baby’s weight, blood supply increase, water retention, etc.

As long as the doctors don’t indicate it as an issue or area of concern I try not to worry too much. I know that I personally have a negative mindset towards body image and weight outside of pregnancy and stressing over it( or weighing myself aside from appts) is not going to benefit me!

My first pregnancy I went from 115 to 147 when I gave birth at 37 weeks and was constantly told everything was perfect. This pregnancy I started at 115 and I'm currently at 136 at 29 weeks. Weight gain is a range and varies for each person. As long as all is well I wouldn't worry

I’ve gained 20 and I’m 31 weeks

I gained 32 lbs with my first (126–>158). At my 28 week appointment for this pregnancy, I was up 20 lbs I think. It’s all so person specific! If your doctor isn’t concerned, I wouldn’t be either.

I gained 62lbs with my first pregnancy and I'm currently 30 weeks and have gained around 21-23lbs. Weight gain varies for each person, I wouldn't be to worried unless doctor says they are worried about it. My doctor never said anything about the 60lb weight gain in my first pregnancy and I was only 120lbs when I got pregnant and I'm 5 foot exactly so 60lbs is alot for my size but they were never concerned

I gained 20 lbs and I'm 30 weeks. What's strange (to me) is that my belly grew considerably but the rest of my body stayed pretty "skinny" so I'm kind of petite everything except for this HUGE belly...

I’m 29 weeks and 5 days and I’ve gained 20 pounds. I got a doctors appointment today so we will see if I gained more . I was originally 133lbs at 15 weeks pregnant, and now I’m one 152-153lb

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
