yes. you will feel crampy and possibly a small amount of blood when you wipe. as long as you don’t have “period flow” type of blood, everything should be ok!

I go tomorrow! Will be 37 weeks. So… exact same timeline and due date as you! (I think we established this already? Oct 5?) at any rate… we start our cervical exams tomorrow.

It’s normal to have cramps after cervix check

I am 36 days and 1 day… when do they check fill for cervix or dilation? Do I need to request?!

my ob said she starts them at 37 weeks and then check every week. I wasn’t asked lol they just did it.

Why are people getting their cervical exams? You know this isn’t necessary and you can say no and just wait until your full term. Seems like they want to push early induction. I got to OB/midwifery and at my 36 week appt they said they won’t offer them until much later 40 weeks at least

Also you should most definitely be asked for your consent that is not cool and there’s way too much of this shit in medical world. Doctors shouldn’t lay a finger on you without explaining risks and benefits to anything they’re offering and everything is optional. Know your rights!!!!

Last Thursday I’m 36weeks, they asked me if I want my cervix to get check, I told my OB it’s up to you 😁 so they just take a swab sample for GBS test, and said she will check my cervix next appointment, and today I’m 37weeks they will gonna check my cervix.

Dr says she’ll check next week when I’m 38 w 2 days. I’m curious, so I don’t think I’ll opt out.
