Hi everyone. I had a high risk pregnancy and was loooked after by midwives closely. I’m 7 weeks pp and I haven’t gotten round to going to the hospital to say thank you.
Would it be weird to message them???

No I think it’s lovely thing to do x

I'm 8 weeks pp and think regularly about sending thank yous to the midwives that looked after me but haven't got round to it yet 🙈 I really want to get it done because I think its so important that they know how grateful I am for the support they gave and what a positive impact they had on my pregnancy/birth

No way! We gave cards and chocolates etc to the midwives at the birthing centre who delivered my son and for the postnatal ward as they were all incredible. We happened to be back in the hospital a few days later and bumped into one of the delivery midwives and she was SO appreciative. Gifts def not necessary but genuine thanks (maybe a card) go a long way!
I don’t think they get anywhere near enough thanks for what they do! 🙏🏼
