Chicago Rodents are Ruthless

This is why we need a site to warn others about crappy landlords. They can say all kinds of stuff about us and tell their side of a story, but we are unable to publicly speak out against them on a platform that is recognized by others. That goes for their pest treatments as well. Pests can eat thru all of your stuff and ruin it but they get to keep collecting money from you and trash your credit if you don't. It's ridiculous!

I’ve been wanting a landlord and rental review forum but apparently it’s illegal due to defamation of character, smh.

There are some loopholes and hey even adopting a new furry loved one can be handy for your mental health and keeping rodents at bay. We had the same issue when we moved in and due to the pandemic my mental health took a hard spiral and my dad(r.i.p💙) said screw the rules and he let me get a cat and turns out our sweetheart of a gentleman kitty was an expert mouser so it was a double whammy and my landlord was like NO PETS but um ma'am because of my sweetheart YOU NO LONGER HAVE A RODENT ISSUE sorry people bug me when they hate animals, but also ladies if you have pets and deal with mental health you can get them legally approved to be an E.S.A by your doctor and or therapist 🖤 I hope this helps and can benefit you because alot of animals are stuck in shelters while they could be at home loving you and helping keep those evildoers out of your homes and DO NOT DECLAW THEM please it's the same as if someone cuts off your fingertips just keep their nails trimmed and yall will be ok 🌻

I had the same issue when I lived in Chicago. I moved to the burbs for that very reason. I had no idea they can get on top of the refrigerator. That's was the last strike for me. And I have a job as well. And I thought mice were nocturnal I was seeing them in the daytime. It was horrible I couldn't even sleeep. I had to go !!!

And I have OCD I'm always cleaning so clutter wasnt my issue. It's just the neighborhood

A cat unfortunately is not an option for us.

Honestly what we need is more coyotes and more birds of prey like Hawks and Eagles!

Unfortunately due to the use of harmful pesticides and zoning of what green spaces we have is making this more and more an ecosystem issue.

thankfully the Forest Preserve District of Cook County has been working hard to encourage more coyotes and birds of prey and have been relatively successful. We just need to keep up that work and the rats will be less of an issue.

It’s been so long since I’ve seen a coyote. Soooo long.

Don’t get me started on landlords I have to move again my child was bit by a spider which doesn’t seem like a big deal to most people but it’s a big deal to me I Called the office and they said in two to three business days an exterminator would come out! IDC IDC I’m moving 🤦🏽‍♀️
