Strep B Positive

I did, and am allergic to penicillin. Which is used for the antibiotic during labor. I have been overthinking and assuming the worst.

Your doc is right,its just normal ..You will get antibiotic before delievery thats what my doc told

im also allergic to it and with the way I’ve been treated throughout my pregnancy I’m scared they’re going to give it to me anyways

There are other antibiotics they can use to treat you when you are allergic to Penicillin. They have Cefazolin, Erythromycin and Clindamycin. It is normal. They have to tell you what they are administering before giving it to you so just review it with the nurse.

I have it as well. They found it in my urine at like 30 weeks. My OB is so highly Recommended and by far one of the best doctors I’ve ever had but as long as when you go in to deliver they start you on antibiotics immediately the likelihood of you passing it to your babe is very very very unlikely and the changes are super low!

My friend had it as well and she had no issues!

@Madison put that in your birth plan they have other options for you. Don't stress most babies stay 48hrs after birth. It is normal many women have it so long as you have the medication In your system In labor baby will be protected.
