Difficultly putting to sleep and long wake window

Really struggling with this at the moment. I've been trying to put him down since 630 and he won't sleep at all!! This wake window is now approaching 6 hours and seems to be the same every night for past week so the second nap is now a huge issue.
I also work from home and used to log on when he went to bed but by time he is down now and I do its gone 8pm, sometimes I just want to sleep because he'll wake through the night, however my salary is dependent on my hours so I am generally overwhelmed and behind!! Anyone suffer these long wake windows at all, I'm stumped on what to do? His naps are 9/930am and then usually 130/2pm which is resulting in an 8pm bedtime. Both naps around 30 to 45mins . Is he overtired and if so how do I fix this 😔 absolutely shattered and he will still be up by 6am 🤦‍♀️

6.30pm to 6am is quite a long sleep you are expecting. At this age most babies do 12 hours total sleep in a 24 hour period and your little one could need less than that. Sounds like he’s at the low sleep need spectrum so fighting sleep as not tired. Could you push the first nap to 9.45/10am and second nap to 2.30/3pm and then roll with the 8pm bedtime so start bedtime routine 7.30? 8-6 is what my little one does and then she does 1.5-2 hours in the day with wake windows roughly 4 hours apart

So my LG will not sleep longer than 11 hours in the night. So I always work on that and set bedtime to between 7 and 7.30 depending on her naps.

She normally wakes at 6am so the first nap is at 8.30/9 for anywhere from 45 mins to an hour and a half. Then the second nap will always be 3/3.5 after she wakes up.

I've found that if she sleeps past 4pm bedtime is a mess so I time nap 2 for her to wake up around 3/3.30 at the latest so there is at least 3/3.5 before bed otherwise she won't go down.

I would maybe work out how many hours your babe sleeps of a night and then see if you can work out how much awake time they normally have before bed and time naps like that? I know all babies are different and though this generally works for me sometimes she just refuses to nap. I also know this may not work for others but hoping it might if its something you haven't tried yet. X

@Jo Well his normal sleep time was 7/730 with a 6am wake and then about an hour or so a day so 12/13 hours total. Now I'm like whats changed as I haven't done different I just start the bedtime routine early as I know lately its going to take me an hour to get him off. I don't really want him in bed at 8 that's late so ideally back to 7 would be good but not sure how. This last wake window seems to be insanely long x

@Emma Yeh he used to go down about 7 then up by 6am which was 11 hours and this was pretty constant. I'm now struggling to see what's changed and how to fix it 🫠. He was getting up little later lately so maybe why but even so I can work out these 5/6 wake windows. I will try the 6am wake up again and see if that shifts if back. Maybe he just doesn't need that much sleep x

@Emma His last nap is also usually no later then 2 so he's up before 3. This is why I can't work out why by 7 or even 730 he doesn't want to sleep. He was on the same routine for a while now so wondering whats jigged him x

So my girl used to do this exact thing!!
Now, her first nap I managed to push to 1hr30/1hr45 and second nap about 45/50mins.. if she woke up earlier I’d try get her back to sleep and defo seem to work instead of just getting her up! And her bedtime is back to 7/7:30ish. What is it you do if you don’t mind me asking? x

@Lauren Ah amazing so I need help lol. Haven't changed anything I'll be honest so not sure what's happened. So he'll be up let's say 630 and then nap again by 930 (3hour window) up within an hour so 1030 then down again 2nd Nap 1.30/2pm then up by 3 latest. But for some reason he wants to go bed at 8pm. He sleeps 11 hours a night x

@Lauren also to note he doesn't want his first nap before 930. I've tired and all he wants to do is climb in his cot 🥵

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
