Baby boys arrival with THE best induction💙

Baby boy arrived at 7:44am on 17/09/2023 after being induced at 2pm on the 16th💙 was possibly the best induction I could have hoped for with only being in active labour for 2 hours and pushing for 30 minutes (seemed like forever🤣). Very grateful to have been offered an induction at 38 weeks as he was 8lbs 4 and would dread to think what he could have been at 40 if not more weeks…

If anyone has any questions about my induction process or anything just drop me a message as there is some real horror stories out there🥰

So I had the pessary fit at 2:00/2:30 went for a brief walk to the hospital cafe for some sandwiches and by the time I got back to the induction ward I was already having contractions at 1cm. I did hyper stimulate and ended up having 8 contractions in 10 mins (the aim is for 4/5 in ten minutes). I had the pessary removed about 5pm as I was in a lot of pain but it had done it’s job as I was then 2/3 cm and could have my waters popped and put on the oxytocin. Contractions took a long time to even out and I had gas and air from the time my waters were popped till the end. Had diamorphine at about 1am for the pain and slept till I was 7cm dilated at around 4am, did some practice pushing and breathing, ate a sandwich, listened to the other women on the labour ward scream bloody murder then next thing I know I’m ready to push about 6am at 10 cm dilated (wasn’t properly pushing till about 7am) baby arrived at 7:44🥰

Congratulations, we’re you able to request an induction. If you was who did you mention it too as I’m looking to see if I’m able to have one but I don’t know who to speak to x

honestly it wasn’t awful at all and we had no issues with heart rates or anything. Went very smoothly x

I was high risk so I was having growth scans frequently and was under consultation. I didn’t request the induction it was offered x

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
