I have finally been given my c section date for the 27th. Only a few days away! I’m so nervous. Any tips/advice for c sections before and after care ?

Take it slow, surrounded yourself with help for the first few days, don’t use any soap for a few weeks when showering. NO BATHS. Hold a pillow against your incision when coughing or sneezing. Walk around as soon as you can. NO HEAVY LIFTING. Make sure to let your incision breath when they remove your dressing. Don’t lay on your stomach for a while and maybe sleep propped up as getting up from laying flat may be difficult.

Good luck lovely. You’ll be absolutely fine. It’s over before you know it! The medical teams are always so lovely and supportive. I’ve had two c sections. My absolute must haves for afterwards would be peppermint tea to help with trapped gas, chewing gum (also apparently helps with the gas) My first I was in a lot of pain from this more so than from the surgery !! I got the shoulder tip pain and it isn’t nice. Second time round … I did those tips and no trapped gas pains at all. Drink lots of fluids and also when I got out I started lactulose the second time around which I found was a MUST ! You can buy it yourself but the hospital should provide if you ask for it. Baby will be in your arms before you know it ❤️ x

Good luck lovely!❤️ I’m all booked in for the 9th and I just want it done and over with now! So uncomfortable😩 xx
